  1. Engine block heater recall

Mine was damaged (it did 'short out' in the winter of 2024). They replaced it with an original part and took the cord out so nobody could plug it in. I spent close to 500 bucks for an electrician originally because I couldn't understand why it wasn't working. Tried buying a new extension, then a...
  2. Engine block heater recall

I like my 2020 Ford Ranger, but I'm not going to lie: I absolutely am pissed at Ford with this block heater debacle. Another recall. I need the block heater in the winter here. My winters are brutal and at 7am when it's -40, that engine/truck is a block of ice. Didn't work for the 2024 winter...
  3. New VW Amarok released

" In its most powerful configuration, the Amarok is capable of towing up to 7,716 pounds and hauling up to 2,557 pounds — that's more than the base Ford F-150 Lightning. Its 21-gallon fuel tank should give it an excellent driving range, though fuel economy figures aren't available. " More...
  4. Squeaky Tailgate Damper

Dust will definitely cause a squeak, but being this new, I think the cold weather might be the culprit. It was a little squeaky and slow in the winter from time to time for me... BTW, enjoy that retirement!
  5. Should FoMoCo Reimburse Ranger Owners for Installing Proper Quality Shock Absorbers?

  6. Should FoMoCo Reimburse Ranger Owners for Installing Proper Quality Shock Absorbers?

Yep. I shopped around for a lowering kit (like people shop around for lifted gear), but could not afford the whole package or even justify the cost on a new truck. After 2 years, and already seeing/feeling the rear shocks deteriorating, I treated myself to some Bilsteins.
  7. Should FoMoCo Reimburse Ranger Owners for Installing Proper Quality Shock Absorbers?

Because I had no interest in the Chevy. Had a Tacoma and Frontier in the past and needed something better for towing. Happy!
  8. Should FoMoCo Reimburse Ranger Owners for Installing Proper Quality Shock Absorbers?

I just had Bilstein shocks installed on my 2020 XLT last week. Are they better? Hell yes. More control and less wallowing. Were the originals OK? yep (even said so the day I bought the truck), but they were already bouncing around too much on the pothole infested roads I was driving on. Plus, I...

  13. It is true the 2021 ford ranger is missing a gear

After reading the original post 10 days ago, I decided to check out this "phenomena". I have not seen gear #2 light up once in all kinds of driving. BTW, I do lock out 10 & 9 all the time now and find it way better for off highway driving.....
  14. Belltech's 2"/4" or 3"/6" drop kit?

Can anybody who did this modification (Belltech) comment on the ride quality of the shocks included in the kit. How do they compare to stock shocks or FOX/Bilstein if you have tried those?
