If you are going to change the rear axle fluid, change the front as well. Those gears are still turning as much as the rear axle gears. Not always under load, but still turning.
45,000 on my OEM Hankooks and still have about 30% of the tread. All tires are even, no cupping or balance issues. I'm fine with the Hankooks, but won't replace them with the same tires. I also recommend getting an alignment when new tires are installed. And not from a dealer, but from a...
How are you guys sealing your rear gate?
I've got a soft roll-up bed cover and live on 6 miles of gravel road. As expected, It's dusty.
I've got the sides, the top, and the bottom pretty well taken care of but the pivot points on the bottom corners are the problem.
Any ideas?
Put a very tiny bit on the tip of your finger and touch it to the tip of your tongue. Anti-Freeze will leave a sweet taste and there is no mistaking it. Anti-freeze is harmful to kidneys. The amount I'm talking about is so small so as to not be an issue, but if you are concerned rinse your...
Yeah, "expansion valve" sounds better. Couldn't think of the correct valve so called it a misting valve. Function is important thing tho. Thanks for setting me straight.
Couple of things based on experience over the years and outside of the things already discussed.
- First and foremost. Take your vehicle to a speciality A/C shop. With the dealer, HVAC is only a sideline to the many other things done with the vehicles they maintain. An A/C shop deals with...
Tony, I have a '19 Ranger, with 44K miles. I have not experienced the throttle delay you've experienced. You might try driving in Sport mode just to see if the delay you notice is still present (Sport mode also disables ASS). If so, then perhaps the engine Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is...
OP? You didn' t comment about how comfortable the seats/driving position is? And how tall are you? I'm 6'2" and Ford does seats pretty good. The Ranger is comfortable for me although I wish the seats raised in front and/or lowered in the rear. I need upper leg support.
Has anyone checked to see if a code popped up when this happens?
Have not had this happen on my Ranger, but did on my RS. It would start using my batter pack tho. A new battery fixed the problem (was traveling so...) but deep down I don't think that was the problem.
A good friend happens...
At what speed is the vibration being experienced?
I recently drove down to San Diego from Wyoming. Once south of El Cajon Pass traffic speed picked up considerably. I'm talking the about the FLOW of traffic. It was pushing 80-85 with many faster. At those speeds and while in the express...
I very much prefer the European mirrors. There was a company in the U.S. that made them but I am unable to find them now. Out of business perhaps.
They are flat about 80% of the way from the inside to the outside with the last 20% curved so there are no blind spots. Some have a fine line...
Only one disadvantage and it was why I didn't order the Supercab - the rear doors only open 90 degrees (to compare, the F150 opens 170 degrees). I previously owned a 2005 Ranger and really disliked the 90 degree opening of the rear doors. Think about trying to load anything in the back with a...
Phil, Funny you should mention the GT. I was going to buy one and at sticker of $135K it was doable. Talked to my dealer (family friend) and he said he could get me one, but it would $165K. Too much so I said no. Wish I'd have bought it. Last week's auction one went for $450K (all four...
'19 Ranger w/trailer tow package. Early production. Purchased a Curt for my new dual axle ATV trailer w/brakes. 7-pin connector. When connected directly to the trailer all the lights/turn signals work fine.
Installed the Curt ap on my iPhone as instructed, plugged in the Curt unit, turned...
I live 6 miles from a paved road in NW Wyoming. We got dumped on last week, about 4 feet worth. Much of the time it was true white out conditions and unsafe to drive. Many folks refuse to drive it instead using their snowmobile to the parking lot and drive the remaining 3 miles to the...
Car hunting is so damn expensive. Really should think about getting a license and a rifle. Couple of years ago I hit an Antelope ($2,500) at night while towing, followed a month later by hitting a deer ($250). Your damage looks minimal. Don't fix it and use it as a talking point..."A deer...
I'm laughing at the comments to the point I might have to - finally - get one of those damn dampers myself. Tired of being an "outsider." Just want to be accepted into the group.
Might as well insert my 2 cents worth - everyone else has. Bear with my being verbose please. '19 with 35K, 100% in "S," with some "just to see" in "D." Am-Soil 0W-30 @ 10K

Although don't hold me to it, I believe the 2.0L blueprint has its origin in Europe. For example, Italy places a heavy tax on engines larger that 2.0L. Since the engine was in production and pretty well sorted when the U.S. began to "downsize" its engines IOT meet CAFE requirements, adapting...
I retired at 53. Having a comfortable retirement is not rocket science, its discipline and long-term commitment. Remember it's not how much money you make in retirement, it's reducing your debt load because debt will determine how long you work. Remember too, saving money doesn't mean you...
