I have been making the same trip for about 5 years. In the ranger it is 1/4 tank of gas. In my f150 also was a 1/4 tank. I am happy with my little baby.
I added dawn industries body color side body moldings. Absolutely awesome. Plus they covered one little ding I had on the body line in passenger door. They are worth the 135$.
Change out your rear gear. Do really think ford screwed up the gearing and we are all going to have engine problems down the road because of it. My f150 ran about the same at 55 mph. I am sure it will be fine. Trust me.

Driving at a low rpm saves wear and tear on the engine and drive train, Saves fuel. Improves the environment, if you want to burn more fuel, create more emissions and burn up your truck have a mechanic change out the rear gear to increase rpm. Which ranger do you own?
On the open road interstate and state highways I love the way it drives. It feels like it sticks in the lane. I do not have to correct direction. Easy two finger driving. I also have set my lane assist to the highest and I’m afraid I am getting spoiled.
