One member here cut the lower piece off the sumo. Sumo Spring says that it can be done with no issues.
It helped him with the harshness because it didn't engage as often/quickly when not trailering....
What color did you get?
Blue is light, Black is light/medium/heavy duty and Yellow is...
I had the same issue. Argued with them to have the registration in my name but they refused saying a tech had to do it for "warranty purposes".
They also said that they would do the install for free though. They did. But when the update came around, they charged me over 100 bucks to do it...
I had a CR subscription for decades.
Stopped it 5 years ago. Simply because I can find so many other reliable objective info just by spending a few hours on the web. I do my own research...
CR has 3 main criteria's:
Reliability, price and safety; and their opinion is skewed depending on these...
I got the tune from FP for 2 reasons:
The torque improvements (for towing) & the Factory warranty.
So when I saw this, I went to my dealer for the update. At first the Tech couldn't see the update, but they disabled the Firewall in the shop and it popped up.
I've put 1000 miles on my truck...
Great videos.
So cool seeing how passionate and engaged some folks are.
Banks is one of them for sure!
Man I hope they build one for the Ranger, but with the new one coming out, I doubt it. Except if they use the same rear end......
Not sure why you would order a down pipe. That will be noisier than any exhaust system in the video. It does add HP, but if quiet is the main driver, it's counter productive IMO.
I have the Ford Tune and went with Magna Flow cat back. Just perfect.
Anybody know if the update "optimized for towing" works on regular driving, or only when you put your truck in towing mode?
Specifically the shift points.....
I know a few have these tires on their truck.
Just an FYI...
DETROIT — Cooper Tire is recalling more than 430,000 truck and SUV tires in the U.S. because they can develop sidewall bulges that could lead to tire failure.
The recall covers certain Discoverer, Evolution, Courser, Deegan...
Not to argue. but this is what I figure.
People who start their engines before going out (and let it sit for 10 minutes) are the ones who are trying to "heat up the cabin", not really to get the oil at operating specs.
So a block heater is much better than an oil pan one for this purpose. The...
10 minutes of gas is more.
Another thing to consider: less engine wear because the oil is not as 'thick' and freely flows right from the start with a block heater.
" The block heater costs about 7¢ per hour to run at the national average electrical rate of 10¢ per kWh. "
" Two minutes of idle...
I plug in the block heater overnight, and start the engine when I get out.
The truck is cozy warm after a minute of driving. Not by the time I get to my destination if I don't plug it in....
I don't need to let it sit for 10 minutes wasting gas. Hardly use the remote start app........

The most likely issue for not starting remotely is if your battery's charge level goes down to "save mode".
But the app does send a message that it is doing this. If you didn't get the message, a server error is probably the cause.
I started mine 2 days ago in -15......
I also noticed the "flow"...
I had the Extang Trifecta cover on my 2012 Frontier and it lasted 8 years no issues.
Got a good 3.5 miles more per gallon after the install! That model had no "flow".
I have the 2.0 Signature on my Ranger and it looks even better. Hope it will last as long or more...
What do you mean by levelled appearance. Shocks alone don't change that.
Did you have the front end lifted or the rear end lowered?
I had Bilsteins on my 2012 Frontier and also liked the shocks!
Got my winter tires. The Bridgestone are not good for winter.
AT tires are not best in winter (specially on ice) as they have too hard a compound in the cold...
If you want a very good performing winter tire at a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with these...
