Iāll look into that thanks! And Iāll check on that front part as well, I hadnāt thought about that. Just trying to be better about keeping my tools cleaner lol. (The decked system did not keep dust out before this)
It is. Itās mainly the tailgate that lets in water/dust. The ranger tailgate isnāt very tight, and thatās putting it mildly. Gaps are like 2ā between the side of the tailgate and the inside wall of the bed. Hence my attempt to weatherstrip it so to speak. The cover itself will get a little...
Iām also working on weather proofing the tailgate using some roofing grade expanding seal tape. Still a work in progress, but itās less dust/water now at least.
Hello all,
Just thought Iād share part one of my Ranger build.
Got a Line-x spray in done
Installed a Retrax One XR
And cut a 2x8 to fit as a divider, then coated it in rustoleum truck bed coating spray to make it match nicely with the bed. (And also to make sure I donāt use it for something...
LOL. While that does sound accurate, more just not a high priority in the budget lol. But will probably get my CHL and a hand gun in the next couple years. Then move on to rifles and such. I enjoy target shooting myself, but always borrowing my buddyās guns lol.
So my wife surprised me with a little blue Ranger as part of my birthday cake and I just thought it was terrific lol. Itāll be going on my desk at work now. I feel seen lol.
Yeah we had one of those winter ā21 and it was nuts. I was working on apartments at the time and had like 3 days working 12-14 hour days purely fixing leaks on several complexes. I kid you not, was in a boiler room, would fix one leak, turn it back on, and a new one would bust and it happened 7...
Yep, itās about to get into the 30s next week here in the Dallas area and weāre all like, how many layers can I have on and still move? Texans are only okay when itās about 70-90 degrees, any colder or warmer and we canāt handle it lol.
Still in an apartment for now so no real outside decorations minus the wreath on the door. But the living room is nice, courtesy of my lovely wife. Fake tree this year, but we plan to go back to a real tree next year.
I have a pretty bad washboard road I take home from work most days and itās alright. Better than the f150 stock. But I put bilsteins on the f150 and that helped a ton. Will probably do the same with the ranger soonish.
Yeah. I spent a lot of money on that lol. Itās a great system and served me well, but for me at least, I need the full use of the depth of the bed more often than I thought I would, so I will be installing a retrax cover on my ranger this go around.
Thanks for the welcome! Iāll try the sport sometime. Mine had no recalls on it, is a TSB different? Also I have seen the damper wars lol. I will probably not get one as I tend to loop the cables over the latches fairly often to get an angle for transporting lumber and such. I plan to put a rack...
Thanks for that breakdown. I like the idea of having options. Iāve seen lots of people here running the Livernois so like youāve said it seems to be a quality tune.
