I know my last one was on the same form that they had me check the box that I was offered but declined the extended warranty . The first time I remember seeing they had started doing that was my '92 Mustang purchase and every dealer since has had it . May be just an Albama/Georgia thing though...
There is ALWAYS a paper that you sign in the stack when purchasing that states the vehicle may have had repairs for transport damages or from mother nature etc . Most people just start signing away without reading what they are signing.
In the stack of papers they normally have you sign when you purchase a new vehicle there is usually a form stating there may be repair work from transport damage etc.
A lot of vehicles have minor scuffs and dings repaired before you take delivery.
If you haven't changed the factory exhaust system but yet you've ever thought to yourself , wow my Ranger sounds great ! , you are hearing the fake engine sounds ,lol .
If the Ranger ends up being as dependable as the last couple of MB the wife has had I'll be thrilled . I think it's more the bean counters at Ford axed it before they could even implement the idea,lol.
An actual sensor or an algorithm guessing at the actual quality....hmm. I'll go with the...
I'd think Ford would be measuring oil quality via an actual sensor by now.
Mercedes has put a sensor in the oil pan for years now that passes a small electrical current across two electrodes and measures the quality of the oil passing between them.
You could use one of my coworkers methods...

I remember my tube amp had 2 rotary knobs that you turned to make a transmit indicator lamp shine brightly when you had it dialed in.
My MPG has always been way off but I've never gotten around to doing the calibration procedure for it . My TPMS is dead on though. At most it may be 1/2 pound out from my accurate guage. I was also surprised at this little Ryobi compressor that I mainly bought for the wife and daughter to use...
