I know I'm complaining to an issue thats only for the first few miles of driving. It does clear up and drives fine, just driving me crazy that I can't figure out whats the problem.
Ford Performance tune, Roush cold air intake, running 93 octane gas, new fuel pump, injectors and colder plugs done by dealer to try and resolve issues. Also installed catch can.
Since new and regardless of the Ford Performance tune installed this has frustrated me since buying my Ranger. I've tried everything to resolve this issue and have been told this is normal until engine is warmed up. I've never had an issue before with any of my Fords in the past. My last vehicle...
I have the UPR system and haven't noticed any smell since install. I did install the drain line that was supplied and drain it after every drive. Not sure if that helps
I do like what you got planned for your truck. I use to own a 2001 S-10 Extreme that was lowered and custom. Sure miss that truck but my divorce ended that.
I just bought the ford perimeter plus to get the remote start on my key bob and they quoted me $250 and its just a plug in play. To much money for something I can do myself..
I know, I read that also when I got mine. If you're more comfortable taking it somewhere by all means do. Not sure what they'll charge you but I'm sure it won't be cheap.
The ford performance number will come with the tune. You'll go online to there site register the number in before you load the tune to your computer, then you'll load it to the tuner.
I called ford and ford performance and they both
I installed it myself. I called ford and ford performance and they both said since it was a ford performance tune the warranty wouldn't be voided.
