  1. What did you do to your Ranger today?

A Million Dollar Idea for sure!
  2. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Speaking of the stubby, I just discovered mine in the glove box yesterday and screwed it on. I wondered why I had really lousy radio reception. Haven't driven it with it on, so not sure how much better it is now.
  3. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Yeah, I think it looks better than a body-colored one. Sharp.
  4. Spray-in Bed liner

Yep. Had my Line-X liner sprayed in last week. The installer removed the bolts I installed and used golf tees to protect the threads. So now I have the bolts if I ever need them for anything. The Line-X liner looks really nice.
  5. Spray-in Bed liner

There are also some empty bolt holes along both sides of the bed just behind the cab. They hold 8mm x 1.25 bolts. The ones near the tailgate hold 6mm x 1.00 bolts.
  6. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I had the Line-X bed liner installed yesterday. I also bought and installed the console tray everyone is mentioning. And, last but by no means least...
  7. Towing 4 Down

The $1,607 is just for labor. The dealer wants $2,100 for the parts, which is $300 higher than the package price listed on NSA's own website. Etrailer doesn't have all of the same parts, but their prices are similar to NSA's website prices. I want to go with everything from NSA, rather than...
  8. Towing 4 Down

I've decided on the entire Ready Brute syten, and am trying to decide whether to install the system myself or pay a dealer to install it (they quoted $1,607 to install the baseplate, wiring, braking system, breakaway and dash light). Where exactly do you drill the hole in the firewall for the...
  9. Spray-in Bed liner

Thanks. That's what I was wondering. I think I'll screw the bolts out several turns and mention them to the installer so he knows why they are there. If he has a better technique, we can discuss it.
  10. Spray-in Bed liner

Yes, exactly. I am having a Line-X liner installed next week, and bought both sizes of bolts and insertd them in all of the empty bolt holes so they don't get filled up with liner material. Is that proper, or should I have the Line-X installer fill the blt holes with someyhing else before...
  11. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I doubt you will be able to successfully challenge the cop or the technique, but it's still worth fighting. Your best bet will probably be to talk to the cop before the hearing and see if he will changee the charge to "failure to obey road signs", which won't give you violation points on your...
  12. Ready Brute Elite 2 or Roadmaster for TOAD Towing behind RV

I just bought a new Ford Range that I intend to use as a TOAD, towing behind my Class C RV. I went to a couple of local dealers to get ideas and pricing. Beforehand, I figured I would use either a Blue Ox or Roadmaster base plate and tow bar and a built-in brake system like the InvisiBrake...
  13. Towing 4 Down

Good for you, congrats! That seems like a lot of work. How many hours did the install take?
  14. Towing 4 Down

I had a local trailer company quote me on a very similar setup, using the Ready Brute Elite 2, Blue Ox baseplate, Blue Ox diode wiring kit and Ready Stop Break-Away. Are you using the RB Elite 1 or 2? Are you happy with the system? Any pertinent update to your previous post? Does the Ready...
  15. Missing tie downs

Yep. There were more than a couple of empty bolt holes in the beds of every Ranger I looked at, so I had no reason to think Ford or the dealer were shortchanging me. I ordered the tie downs and bolts so I can install them before I have the Line-X bed liner installed.
  16. Missing tie downs

I just bought mine this week. I looked at all of the other Rangers on the lot and none had hooks in the middle of the bed. I actually wondered what the bolt holes were for... Thought they might be for some other type of accessory. Same as I wonder what the bolt holes near the top of the bed...
  17. New Members Introduce Yourself!

Thanks for the tip on the damper... in addition to HP gains, I heard it also increases MPG and makes your hair thicker, too. Thanks for the free shipping code at Varsity. Are their parts generally the cheapest?
  18. Missing tie downs

I know there are lots of theads about the missing tie downs. I see where someone posted the part numbers (thank you!), but am shocked at the prices I am seeing for the parts - about $80 for the two tie downs and four bolts. Has anyone found discounted prices anywhere for the tie downs and bolts?
  19. New Members Introduce Yourself!

Hello. As indicated by my ID, I am a truck newbee. I've always owned cars before, starting with a German Ford Fiesta back in 1983. Since then, I've owned only cars, mostly sedans... most recently a Nissan Maxima that I just traded in on a new 2020 Ranger XLT Supercab 4x4. I decided to buy...
  20. Anyone try the Extang Trifecta 2.0 Signature?

Can you open and close the tailgate with the Trifecta 2.0 Signature cover in place?
