  1. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

Good heads up! I got a couple packs of doorbuster spectrum rags & a couple bars of clay. Good companion for my black friday 64 oz. ceramic waterless wash from Adam's polishes!
  2. New Vehicle on Order!

'Grats Phil! The Bronco Sport is a very handsome little SUV. I've never considered a Bronco Sport for a second vehicle but I still fancy a Maverick Hybrid for my wife. Both of those little trucks share the C2 platform so in a lot of ways the Bronco S 2.0 is much like an enclosed Maverick 2.0. I...
  3. Cool New Feature From Mercedes! Not!

For 5 years I've been making a joke in other forums about how one day "They will give you gears 1-3 for free and 4-6 for $999 a year." Well, folks, that day is here!
  4. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Just so you know, when I was making that quick photoshop, because I am a smartass I wondered if a fellow smartass would comment about that spot of silver in the keyhole... and... well Cheers KJRR :fistbump: You're like my inner voice speaking back to me. Now, smartass, do you have any...
  5. Jeeps! And Some Jeep Drivers!

It's a shame but look at it this way; he did you a favor showing his true colors via text. Imagine having to spend an entire day in the middle of nowhere with somebody like this? Hopefully the next group you run into is a fun one.
  6. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I wrote a little novella called "How Black was My Blackout Package?" I sprayed Herculiner on my M8 bolts because silver = "no no" on the Splash. Installed some black Gorilla lugs. Of course did all of my projects with my best "Jr. Tech." Henderson's foremost bolt hand-threader. YES...
  7. Taillight replacement

It is sold as an assembly only. I'd say the "best place" to find a replacement at a discount would be eBay. There are lots of reputable dismantlers that sell parts on there and I've good luck getting parts for older / other vehicles there. Here's one for $450.
  8. Well This Is Sad...

If you believe everything you read on the internet (like me) I just saw a post the other day on Reddit from somebody that bought a used Mercedes Benz and almost immediately had someone representing Takata reach out to them to let them know they had bought a vehicle that did not receive a recall...
  9. One year and 19,000 miles later

Congratulations to you Sam. I wish you continued prosperity and health. I'd encourage you to not look at 100,000 miles as a "kiss of death" for a vehicle. If you treat the vehicle well and maintain it diligently there is no reason to believe it should not last to your expectations. Happy driving!
  10. Anyone know what this button is for?

Yep they do - I was just curious what your plans were moving forward now that the mystery is solved. I believe your KARR alarm adds a "vibration" detection function that our alarm doesn't have per the earlier 5granger.com post I linked. Otherwise I'd say you're good to go with the factory alarm.
  11. Anyone know what this button is for?

So with this discovery @Ranger_22 ; have you any desire to retro-activate the system?
  12. RANGER Tailgate Lettering Inlay Vector Graphic for DIY Stickers (.eps, Legacy .ai)

You're too kind but we will see how much of an undertaking this ends up being before we go that far  One thing I thought of sitting here is once we know the template is correct - it would probably be useful to have a file that is vectors only with no fill color just in case the fill...
  13. RANGER Tailgate Lettering Inlay Vector Graphic for DIY Stickers (.eps, Legacy .ai)

Maybe start with a few letters. I recommend G as a candidate and maybe A. They are the ones that I think maybe a bit off because certain aspects of the curves are hard to measure. Thanks for the feedback guys and I'm happy the files will already get some exercise.
  14. Anyone know what this button is for?

Yep it's the button for a KARR security system. I used Google lens and actually found another Ranger5g.com thread. As well as this Honda thread. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/dealer-installed-alarm-hardware-found.6222/...
  15. RANGER Tailgate Lettering Inlay Vector Graphic for DIY Stickers (.eps, Legacy .ai)

Sounds good. I wouldn't be surprised if some tweaks are needed. If it's really-really off for whatever reason I can paper template as well.
  16. RANGER Tailgate Lettering Inlay Vector Graphic for DIY Stickers (.eps, Legacy .ai)

Hey gang! Our esteemed member @Jhbryaniv had asked me if I could whip this up for the group to make our own tailgate letter stickers; and I have! EDIT: .svg format added Link to Download The Graphic (Vector Formats: .eps, .ai (CS2 Legacy and CC2023) Preview Formats: .png) What this is...
  17. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

Don't be angry at me - you're here to help me understand. Appreciate you having the discussion with me.
  18. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

No I think you may be mis-reading the meter though. It is saying that my estimated oil change will be at 8500 miles. Not in 8500 miles. The estimated distance is on the oil total milage, not estimated distance remaining - like how the fuel gauge works.
  19. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

Not trying to prove you wrong. But I suppose if I'm making a point it's that it says my estimated distance is 8500 miles, not 10,000.
  20. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

Not sure about your truck and what you're seeing; but I can say already for my vehicle this is not true. When I look at my OLM on Ford Pass it is already saying I will not make it to 10000. My Odometer currently reads 1760 miles.
