I live south east of Boston and Waze is useless for anything but navigation. There are so few people using it that there is never any current info.
The Sirus XM Travel Link that is integrated into the factory nav is much better at providing road conditions than either Waze or Google Maps. Last...
There is no such thing as a torque to yield nut. It is the bolt that is torque to yield. The reason the axle nut is to be replaced is they are mechanical lock nuts that have been squeezed to distort the thread to generate the locking feature. Once you run a thread through these the threads are...
Just take a breaker bar and based on your weight calculate how far out on the breaker bar you need to stand. For example: you weigh 200 lbs you need to center your weight at one foot from the socket center to get 200 ft-lbs. You need to finish torquing this way with the breaker bar close to level.
Took me 2.5 hours start to finish working at a leisurely pace which also included running to the hardware store for a 35mm socket (which I thought I had) and a Coke break between sides.
I have a Tremor which has Fox coil overs so I was just adding a spacer on top of the coil over to level it...
I suppose that may be true for Livernois since they developed the FP tune and own the CARB exemption that makes their and the FP tune emissions legal on the Ranger. The FP programming device is also just a rebranded Livernois. The Livernois MyCalibrator software works just fine with my FP...
That may be true with the Ford Performance tune but it certainly won't be with the tunes from Unleashed, Livernois, 5 Star, etc. If there was a way for Ford to do that there would be no need for a flash counter or a long and elaborate diagnostic flow chart that the dealers are directed to use to...
That's true if you are bringing your car. You can get around the island by bicycle quite easily and you don't need a reservation if you are on foot, bicycle or motorcycle.
Besides the rock, America's home town (Plymouth) has a replica of the Mayflower and Plymouth Plantation. You can take a harbor cruise and get to see the only Lighthouse in the US that has been fired upon by an enemy ship (British in 1812), Gurnett light. If you have an interest in seeing...
FWIW, the 3K oil change interval was something that was invented by Jiffy Lube and the like to increase business. Back in the 60s recommended oil change intervals were much higher than 3K. I have a 68 Plymouth Barracuda and the oil change interval in the owners manual is 6K miles. Oil these days...
My 13 Focus ST had it. There was a reed in the manifold that vibrated based on how fast the air was flowing the the manifold. There was a hose that traveled through a valve controlled by the ECU to a connection on the firewall that allowed the sound into the cabin. The Mustang GT has the same...
FWIW, I have purchased 5 new Fords since 2011. The factory supplied oil filter was not supplied by Purolator on any of them. They looked like a Champion Labs filter. They also were not marked as Motorcraft, just had a Ford part number on them.
Interesting tidbit: The FL910S spec filter was...
FWIW, in my 50 years of wrenching I have had three oil filters fail (leak). Two recently on my Ranger & Mustang that were Motorcraft FL910S and quite a few years ago that was a WIX.
The two Motorcraft leaked at the gasket. Could have been the same issue with the thread not allowing filter to...
When I did it yesterday I clicked on the browse button on the web page and a Windows dialogue window opened. I browsed to the XML file. Selected it then clicked on open. The browser window refreshed and the update page reflected that I was updated with the 3.4.22251 in my current version. FWIW...
