*Looks at my truck where the 'mods' consist of tailgate damper, tailgate letters, a tonneau cover and removing the air dam.* Your truck already looks pretty sick compared to all of us running basically stock.
Nice looking truck. I'm in Pinellas county as well. Thanks for your service. Nice thing about a bright vehicle around here is it's harder for the Snow Birds/Spring Breakers/Summer Vacationers/Fall Getawayers to miss you when they are looking for the turn to take you to clearwater beach. Drive...
Both of these happened with my Auxito's. The low beams flickered once every 5 minutes or so. And 1 high beam turns on a fraction of a second faster than the other.
I returned the low-beams and kept the high-beams due to beam pattern being worse than the low-beam halogens.
Do you mean those obnoxious lifted trucks with big rims that have never touched a dirt road are not a universal thing? Grew up in Texas and live in Florida and thought you would find them everywhere.
Sorry OP, love the color, just not a fan of the wheels. Whatever fits your style though.
I completely agree with this. My old '04 Hyundai Elantra 4 spd auto never had any rough shifting or weird quirks. I like to say that it's a truck and it's not the same, but it should be better not worse than a 20yr old econobox.
22K miles and same. My hope is that the current amount of lurch when slowing down is normal and it will just do that its whole long life. I plan on keeping the truck 10-20 years. 2 years down, 8-18 left.
Around 5000 miles, the alternator may or may not have died during some slick adventures which should not have been undertaken in a stock 2wd ranger. Alternator was replaced under warranty no questions asked. No problems since. (I put down "No" for the poll since I consider it 50% my fault)
I'm not sure if they mentioned it on the Amazon posting for that specific bulb, but it mentioned it enough on a lot of the other Auxito listings to the point I assumed it would be the same. Maybe that's a poor assumption, but they did not work well in my experience. I don't care where the high...
I had the same problem. My low beams were at 45 degree angles. (The LED chips were not at 9 and 3 like the website instructed.) I did not see any Allen key or any way to adjust them. The beam pattern that it threw out was very scattered and not uniform at all. I became frustrated and returned...
I notice the transmission a lot on this truck, which is not something I want. I love every other part of the truck, but it just feels like the transmission can't get consistent and takes a lot of the fun out of driving this quick little truck. Sometimes it's incredibly silky smooth, other times...
I use Carplay with Apple Maps and Google Maps interchangeably. I can count on 1 hand the number of times I have used the Factory Nav. However, those times I have used it have been when I have no reception and it has saved my butt. It was awful to use and quite frustrating, but it did save me...
That looks fantastic. I would love to lower my ranger a bit. It's too high in the back to be easily accessible. Can you share some shots of the rear undercarriage? Also how tall it the tailgate now when it's laying down?
Well it wasn't pretty, and it it was old when I bought it when I was 15, but my '04 Elantra was rock solid. And very easy to work on. Drove it for 7 years and put 50,000 miles on it. Sometimes I miss not having a car payment right now, but I really like having a truck now with heated seats and...
I know this thread is quite old, but I had some thoughts after using the ranger's BLIS and having observed other systems.
I vastly prefer Volvo's orange indicator. It is large and bright and takes up the entire upper corner so it's easy to see and does not get washed out by headlights or other...
