I have the ACC and I get no popup menus or chimes when I activate cruise control. I think there's a setting in the dashboard menus to turn off the notifications and chimes.
Thanks for the educated input. :) I had read that and was hoping it would happen. So far so good.
Now if you want to see a "bad" transmission, check out the GM 8 speed they use in the Colorado. They may finally have it sorted out with new fluid, but it has been a real dog for years, and...
You know, I had that same problem. Finally at about 2K miles it's started to get better. Still clunks a bit (I mean it is a truck I'm not expecting butter-smooth shifts all the time), but the stuttering and jerking seems to have gone away.
Not sure why it did it in the first place, but...
My understanding is that it's a known issue with the 21220 build of Sync. I'm having the same problem with intermittent XM traffic and other services. Hopefully a new release isn't too far off.
I tell ya, if I had a chance to sit in one (I'm a tall/big guy), and hadn't just bought my Ranger, this would be on my shopping list.
A Maverick Lariat hits all the sweet spots for me assuming the interior has decent room.
Will be interesting to look at one once they start hitting the...
I was replying to Floyd because he listed the actual amount that he should have had. The OP had posted a stick with a lot more oil on it than should have been there. Try to keep up. ?
Sadly there are people who have no morals. They made a commitment, but now that they can't carry through on it, they have to take it out on others (like the bank).
Most of us try to treat others like we'd like to be treated (whether it comes to looking out for their property or health)...
I honestly would MAKE time to take it in. At 500 miles with that much fluid, something isn't good. If it isn't oil or fuel, it's water, and that means a blown head gasket or cracked block possibly....
That would make me nervous before a long trip....but that's your call.
I wonder.....and I'm sure this isn't it....but my parents had a car once that they discovered the factory had put in the wrong dipstick so it didn't measure correctly. I'd almost see if I could find a part number on that...
I'm sure you already know this, but you wiped of the stick first and then measured it again, right, and this is while "cold"? I'd definitely double-check that if you didn't already double-check your measurement.
If you really have that much oil in it, I would be concerned. At 500 miles I'd...
That's definitely my thought. I asked at the dealer and they said it's "normal" for the 10 spd. It has seemed to get better, though, so it may just be part of the "break-in" period. I'll give it until the first oil change and see if it goes away. I'm already halfway there. Slight...
I"ve wondered the same thing. I know the TSB shouldn't apply, as I have a 2021 made in February (so you would have to think the factory calibrations would be up to date).
Mine only bucks and jerks when it's cold. Once the truck has been driven a few miles it's great. Really odd.
Funny enough my parents used to have a car like that. Even funnier is the engine was made in the same plant as our engine (351C). Hopefully they're a little better at it now... :)
