  1. Your Age-Your First Ford-What You Learned To Drive On-Your Rangers Year!

Alright!! - Love the Jimmy Page profile pic!
  2. LIGHTNING BLUE Ranger Club Thread

Long Live Lightning Blue!! And a S-CAB as well! When I took this pic, I just had the Ford dealership install a Ford deflector with my points. This is from last year and they did a great job.
  3. $15.00 and hour?

When I was a lad, my dad taught/let me shoot his Remington .45 1911 he carried during the Battle of the Bulge when he was with the 82nd Airborne (the kick took a minute to get used to lol). He always kept a clip in it (but not a round in the chamber). He taught us all how to shoot. Fear and...
  4. $15.00 and hour?

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents...
  5. Ford Ranger Does Well in KBB - First Five Year Review - Truck Category

In case ya'll hadn't seen this yet - Our Rangers did really good in Kelley Blue Book First Five years of Ownership. There may be another post somewhere about it. https://www.kbb.com/best-cars/lowest-5-year-cost-to-own-cars-trucks-suvs/#truck
  6. Base XL SuperCab w/ Rear Seat Option

Mine is like that as well. Super pleased - so glad I got the S-Cab - Base XL Rangers are/were hard to find - I got mine in February 2020 (mine was manufactured Nov 2019 so it was a pre-COVID build), and I waited 3 months for one to show up at the dealer. It's all I could really afford - I...
  7. Is there any disadvantage to a SuperCab?

Totally love my Super Cab - I had 2006 F-150 Super Cab as well - if you don't have to carry passengers or want to torture the ones you do carry, then the SCAB is the way to go. I really like the additional bed length and am mainly by myself so it was the logical choice. My truck is also about...
  8. Anyone else have one of these?

I've used the fast lube places, never had an issue. I do prefer taking my Ranger to the dealership, and my Honda to Pep Boys. Both places have been outstanding in their service. Pep Boys is comparable to the fast lube places and this one I've dealt with for several years plus I like talking...
  9. Snarky question

I'm still holding out for this:
  10. Extended Warranty (I know)

I added the 7/75 extended plan to the loan when I purchased my Ranger - no regerts - too much computer/electronic stuff which can go crazy Ivan on you. Planning on keeping Buckbeak for many, many years.
  11. Best Gas … ? You Believe ???

Shell 93 Octane - (won't go anywhere else) each and every time ever since I used up my tank after buying new from the dealer. I have the Shell Gas Card, which gives me .10 off per gallon.
  12. This Was Kinda Surprising

That's an excellent point and why I'm holding on to mine.
  13. Looking for a new Truck

19K miles - no complaints - steady as she goes Mr. Sulu...
  14. Who’s Overlanding the Ranger?

NW Florida/Georgia (Columbus area) camping is always done best in the dead of winter, the colder the better (no bugs or snakes ever). The coldest it once got was 19deg F. Not tents at all (totally agree w/Mark), just a good sleeping bag that can handle below freezing temps. We always check the...
  15. Why is my MPG so "poor"?

I'm completely stock on my 2WD XL - I don't tow, haul stuff(yet), or go off-road. I consistently run 93 Shell and average about 24-26 mpg, except for the days when I'm listening to songs, like, oh I don't know, "Vaseline" by the Stone Temple Pilots, or "Goodbye Stranger" by Supertramp...
  16. SuperCab Love

    You must have been "grateful"...
  17. What Is the Name/Nickname of Your Ranger?

My uncle in Holland (Nijmegen) worked for a publication distribution firm and he gave me some Lucky Luke comic books when I visited family there years ago with my mom - they are pretty cool.
