Got the cap wired up (except utility and dome lights; waiting in the Wolfhaus harness).
The pin diagram is not identical to my 2022 Canadian market Lariat Tremor! It made me kind of nervous. Pin 9 is NOT blank! However, if you start at pin 1 and move up, pin 1,2,3,4and five are the same. I...
Got the wiring done today for the third brake light, reverse and marker lights. Had to work around a trip to the pumpkin patch, the apple farm, and fixing the cottage evestrough. Ended up finishing in the dark, with a headlamp, and cold fingers and toes. I have a garage at home, but not at the...
Yes, on all accounts. The bottom of the window has a weather seal and lip to lock the back door. I’ll get some more pics in the daylight tomorrow
I spoke at great length with one of the founders, and he said they started in the US, and have only been in Canada since March. I’ve been...
I agree with you, those are good reasons. This cap weighs 160 lbs, so 6 clamps and two people to lift it off, but I doubt I will. For me, the added height compared to a tonneau cover will make a world of difference for loading tools. I actually prefer the look of the truck with a tonneau cover, too.
The brand is Tufcap, out of Toronto. They are just starting out, so they are selling about $1K less than any other option I found. For example, a Lear is about $4500 Can., a Smartcap is $6400 Can. This was $3500. Prices are going up in the new year; they plan on reaching a competitive price...

I’ve answered your questions in the thread I have about the cap.
“Did they wire up all the lights? What are interior lights like? What are your plans for the accessory mounts on the sides? Lead time? How long to install? Fit and finish? Etc., etc.
@DukeCanBuildit
1. No, they don’t do wiring for insurance reasons.
2. Haven’t wired up the lights yet, but...
Thanks, I’m pretty happy with it. Now I have room to buy more tools. ?
The box you see are the switches for the lights, and a USB charge port. I still have to wire everything up.
Drove an hour and a half to Toronto, had a cap installed, drove an hour and a half home, loaded up the kids and 2 dogs, drove 2 and a half hours to the cottage.
I’ve had my truck for two years now, and the tri-fold tonneau cover that I bought new with the truck is falling apart. Also, I’m looking to keep rain and snow off my tools, and make accessing tools easier. So I’ve bought a cap (topper?), and will pick it up this weekend.
Thanks to this forum, I...
