will the truck be your new DD or will it sit until you are going to the track?
I know you didn’t ask for new versus slightly used advice, but I was curious.
I have done the buy a car far enough away that I had to get a flight and then drive it back.
have you added your travel costs into the...
where did you get it from? The searches I just did showed the Kuat as more than the others. I’m probably not comparing the right bike mounts to each other.
I have the same question as the OP.
Thanks all! I had to order a new 7/8 drill bit. When I went to grab it to drill a couple holes in the rubber plugs, of course that spot in my drill bit kit was empty. Those rubber plugs got Line-x’ed in.
I will re-adjust it, fix the drain tubes and get a tailgate seal to button it up a bit more.
Thanks for the thoughts on my tonneau. When it dries up and warms up I will re-adjust it. I do have to close the tailgate hard and when folded up it lands in the right spot against the window. I also have a couple square foam pieces that I just found out belong in the front corners (window...
I’m just curious if the amount of puddling I saw during rain shower is normal. I hear guys say there tonneau is tight or minimal water gets through.
I took saw pictures of my truck after it was sitting level in a steady rain shower for ~16 hours.
How much would your tonneau allow?
Hello All,
I’d appreciate it if the people with the MX4 would comment on where and how much water leakS nto the bed.
today, we have had a steady rain shower beginning about 9pm last night and continuing until now. It is a steady rain that when driving 35 mph through my neighborhood, the...
I use car pro reload after every wash to keep my ceramic coat fresh. Mine has a 10 year potential life. I am in year five and it looks as fresh and clean as when first done. I could not apply this ceramic coating. It needed to be applied by someone certified by the company. It was $1,500 to...
What have you already tried? That spot would bother me too.
do you have auto polish buffers, or do you work purely by hand?
I would address it with as gental as you can, working to more abrasive products. If you have a wax/cleaner product, I would apply that first. An orbital buffer would...
What SubVet said, or the Motorcraft Touch-up Paint.
I typically buy the matching motorcraft touch-up paint bottle for my Fords. When I detail them and notice a chip, I’ll pull it out and put a spot of paint on it as best I can.
if your truck or car is used, chips will happen. As much as that...
The WT do cover an inch or two higher on the kick panel and trans tunnel. I think the Husky’s may cover more of the foot rest area, but it’s hard to tell really. On the WT pictures, the firewall side coverage doesn’t seem to go the to top of the brake petal. I think I can see the top of the...
i agree with you. I was a weather tech Buyer until I got my Ranger. I read reviews on here that got me to give the Husky’s a shot. My big thing was To buy made in the US. Whenever possible.
We’ve recently been discussing WT versus Husky. << CLICK HERE >> The WT do cover an inch or two higher...
When you put your notes together on your install, would you speak specifically about the grill tabs? I see that there is a tendency to break them. Especially the ones lower in the grill. That’s been holding me back from pulling the trigger. I would like to understand the proper technique for...
Why not use the Ford car finder app for a Lariat with the 501A package? You could “borrow” a VIN off the window sticker.
I don’t see any harm in using a VIN for research purposes.
I’m not sure I am looking at the right picture. I agree with you that WeatherTech makes an amazing product. I have bought WeatherTech, full coverage, (front seat, rear seat, and trunk) for the last 4 cars I bought. I resold them on eBay when I traded the cars that are gone. The comments from...
Nice solution! Where did you get the fork mounts that hold the bikes in place?
also, is the bar screwed into you bed on both sides to lock it in place? Have you thought of any methods to hold the bar in place without modifying the bed? I.e. pressure or utilizing the front tie downs somehow?
I was tempted to get that! I need to save up and I will pick up a full set of those Cover Kraft seat covers. For now I had other priorities and had to make due.
