Have had my 22 XL base model for a month. Love it. Any suggestions on upgrading my non-Android Auto base radio, 4inch display? Amazon, Best Buy, Ford products? Looking for Android Auto, GPS touchscreen. Maybe minimum 6inches. Would definitely have tech install. No diy for this.
Update Final. Truck on the Perry Ford Natl City CA lot 4 days after Delivered status shown.
Price on order and window sticker met. No market adjustment.
Just taking notes, while waiting for my XL to graduate from Final Preparation to my driveway. I am getting it with a naked bed. Is spray-in or drop-in better? Biggest loads I will have is furniture moving for friends and family.
Let's all hope for the day the Ford CEO vision comes true, and online ordering with transparent pricing is the only buying method. Dealerships turn into large service locations.
Update......my order was 14 Apr. Build was delayed to May. ETAs were 28 July-2 Aug, then 8-13 Aug, and 22-28 Aug. Truck was put into Final Preparation status on 26 Aug. Waiting for Perry Ford National City to actually receive the truck. So, not sure what FP means for its physical location.
Yes. Perry Ford (Patricia), and Ford Corporate email system have been great about that. I received a new ETA of 22-28 Aug from CF on 24 Aug. But, Patricia did text me twice before that, that they were still waiting as well. So, that was appreciated.
Then, my Ranger XL was put into Final...
Very, VERY hard to sympathize or have empathy here. Especially when I have seen Mavs plus $6k, $13k and even $20k as market adjustments. MAVERICKS. You know. Those trucks that were priced by Corporate to get that small truck market back. Which the dealers then screwed all to hell for their...
My XL ETA to dealer is by 2 Aug. Confirmed build and confirmed shipping emails from Corporate received. It's been 4 months total, and that is exactly what Perry Ford San Diego advised in the beginning. Although, i went base with power side mirrors as the only add-on pkg. Good luck on your Lariat.
Oh yeah. I plan on doing that during the convo, with names included. But, I have heard good things abt Perry Ford from friends, that they are good. We shall see.
Handshake it was, Don. If they reneg, or otherwise raise the price, it's walk away time. I can wait for a truck. Just have read these stories, and then the extreme stories abt cancelled Maverick orders being raised 6k to 15k (saw those prices myself in SoCal dealerships). We shall see what...
Tks, LM65...Yes, familiar with the usual add-ons, and have calculated those costs with my Toy Rav4 purchase of last year. I can walk away easily. But dang, will be pissed regardless if they pull any gouging bs.
I ordered a 22 XL, and it arrives btwn now to 2 Aug. MSRP on order is $28650. Q: will the Perry Ford dealer jack up the price with a "market adjustment?" Should I expect that? There was no agreed up, set price. There was no paper signed with a bottom line price.
