  1. Clearview Towing Mirror Review

Clearview wiring vs Ford wiring. I stuffed what I could behind the rubber boot. This is what was left over. That's not fitting back there.
  2. Clearview Towing Mirror Review

I should have included that as well. There is more shaking of the Clearview than the OEM, but it is not significant or difficult to see what's in the mirror. Honestly, I only noticed it when I had one of each on. Now that both are on, I don't notice it. I've edited my original post to...
  3. Clearview Towing Mirror Review

If anyone needs OEM replacement mirrors, hit me up.
  4. Clearview Towing Mirror Review

I installed Clearview Towing mirrors and here's my thoughts. https://www.clearviewmirrorsusa.com/towing-mirrors/ford-ranger-north-america/ The Clearview's are extremely heavy compared to the stock mirrors. That concerns me a little bit. Between the extra weight, the extended lever arm...
  5. Any regrets buying an XLT over a Lariat???

I wish my XLT had power adjustable seats.
  6. Biggest Travel Trailer?

I dug back a little further to a 1987 F250 that I owned. That year Ford made a heavy duty F250 and a "base" F250. Mine was the base F250, but an F250 never the less. It's rated tow capacity was 7100 lbs, with a max trailer frontal area of 60sq ft. The GCWR was only 7800 lbs. I'm no math...
  7. Biggest Travel Trailer?

Took this camping in Flagstaff (AZ) this weekend. Torrential monsoon rains hit us while driving, but no problem. 29.5' total length. 5200lb dry. Probably another 1000+ of stuff and water etc. I've towed 1000's of trailers and didn't feel the Ranger was over-matched in the slightest. No...
  8. Time to bug ya'll again. Brake controller.

I have one of these ( Echo: A Wireless Brake Controller for Your Smartphone (curtmfg.com) ) that I bought at home depot. It works flawlessly. I was a little nervous about it at first, but It works perfect. You only need your phone to pair it and adjust it. After that it works by itself...
  9. My old Ranger

Got mine brand new in 1983.
  10. Fox 2.0

I installed the Eibach Complete Pro-Truck Sport Shock & Strut Kit, and wow, what a difference. I can't speak to the Fox but the Eibach kit is fantastic and half or less the price you mentioned for the Fox.
  11. Ranger Remorse? anyone?

I too had 3 Ram 1500 Hemi's prior to the Ranger. When the Ranger was still stock, I did have buyer's remorse. Then, I decided to lift/level it with the Eibach Complete Pro-Truck Sport Kit. 3" front, 1" rear, new front springs, and shocks all the way around. Then installed 33" Nitto Ridge...
  12. 5100 Bilstein Regrets?

I debated for a couple months between the Bilstein and Eibachs. But then I found out there were no Bilsteins to be had anywhere. That made the choice simple, and I've no regrets with Eibachs.
  13. What did you let go to get your Ranger?

2017 Ram 1500 to a 2019 Ranger. It wouldn't fit in the garage of the new house I moved in to.
  14. Truck "bucks" at slow, steady speeds

Not sure what "bucking" means but I had some slight jerky motion at low speed that was fixed by relubrication of the driveline splines. "Bucking" sounds a little more severe than what I was experiencing, however.
  15. Your Age-Your First Ford-What You Learned To Drive On-Your Rangers Year!

I'm 55. I learned to drive with my Dad's '72 F250. My first vehicle and truck I owned was an '83 Ranger. My current truck is a '19 Ranger. Trucks I've owned in total are: Ford (6), Ram (6), Toyota (2), Isuzu (1).
  16. Reliability and new owner advice

I've only got 30k on my '19 Ranger. Warranty swapped the battery around 10k and they also did the greasing of the driveline spline for a clunking transmission. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/how-to-lubricate-your-driveshaft-slip-joint.16648/ 4 warranty visits to get the sync to stop...
  17. Second choice

I had a Ram 1500 that wouldn't fit in the garage of the new house I bought in 2019. At the time, the Chevy Colorado was a distant second to the 2019 Ranger I bought (Tacoma too expensive, Nissan too old). If the hybrid Maverick had been an option then, I would have looked pretty long and hard...
  18. Are You and “In” or “Out” Guy…?

In the garage is the only reason that I bought the Ranger. Bought a new house in AZ where the sun destroys everything and my full size wouldn't fit in the garage. Had to downsize to a Ranger to get a truck that fit.
  19. hard tonneau cover: school me

I have the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 Tonneau Cover. I've had it for 2 years now, and I love it. When I fold it back I can still see out the back window (enough). If I need to remove it completely, I can do it by myself in about a minute. Have had no known leakage issues even when going through a...
  20. Why the interior hate?

2021 Ford Ranger XLT or 2014 Ford Fusion - you decide
