Thanks, same to you!
I do plan on getting some out before next year though, I have 16 crimped, should have all 35 by today, then on to the other steps?
Well, as usual there is a delay on the big batch, the crimp collars that shipped with the hose is for Nylon braid not stainless, what's messed up is I had to wait 6 weeks for those collars to be mfg.
So I'm back to small batch production, I ran out and got all I could source...
Now in the earlier days like the 40's before the materials improved, it was valve jobs by 30k and rebuilds by 75k.
I knew a old rebuilder, he talked of knurling pistons, honing and new rings and turning cranks in the car with all new bearings, I said no wonder they needed a rebuild so often...
So for years and years my Dad told he walked to school uphill both ways, I called BS for 40+ years... It's not possible, right? Just one of those Dad stories I heard 1000 times.
I was visiting with my Uncle and he said "Oh yeah, we went up through the meadow and around up the backside of the...
I PMed a message to you, simply grab the left side of the A/C line where it goes from tube to the hose, grab the section by the dipstick bracket, push on the section by the dipstick while holding/pulling on the left side of the A/C line, you can push the section by the dipstick straight back...
Well, I was just going to change the oil and rotate the tires, which I did, but I got fed up with the rubber flap clips, which was my fault, after some of the Ford screw/clips failed on the last oil change. I dug through the clip drawer and found some Honda barbed clips, stuck them in, it was...
Be careful, if you put your haul up on one of those quote boards, your phone will blow for weeks.
That "submit your info for a quote" goes to a pool or dispatch where many drivers can quote it, or worse yet a broker quotes you, he makes all the money and the driver makes a few hundred bucks...
So hey, I finally got a big hose shipment in, I will be cranking them out coming up here soon, the holidays will goof things up a bit, I have all the kids coming in for Christmas this year, (first time in 8 years) so I will work on them as much as possible.
I’m right there everyone, a bunch of...
You should put a post here, this is the running list as the voting list is scrambled, if you PM me and ask to be put on the list, I will ask you to please put a post here.
Thank you very much for your interest!
Yes, everything will expand differently, when I was measuring the expansion, I wondered how much one of those Econoline dipsticks must expand, those things are like 4.5' long.
And Yes, that was the goal, an aftermarket dipstick with factory looks, markings and function, just bolt it in.
It's interesting how the looms are slightly different between the trucks, I tried to track model, year, nothing really correlated, it's some production variance at the vendor for the looms.
So, interesting story about Ford and wire looms, I knew a guy who worked with a automotive contractor...
I was wondering if it was a Calif thing, so many fluids, paints and chemicals are not available here, or they are more expensive, example, no Mobil 1 fully synthetic automatic transmission fluid available here, get this, you cannot get below 0 washer fluid either "it pollutes the roads and all...
This is where you set yourself back, if you were to try and look at the stock stick fluid level, you would need to wipe it and check it several times for an accurate reading.
If you look, you have fluid all the way up the stick, the diamonds at the 1 have fluid in them, the fluid just got...
