No never found anything obvious, other than the "generator desired voltage" which turned out to nothing to do with the lin wiring🤷🏻.
But the relay coil for the engine ecu had a hugely high resistance , the fuel pump relay had high resistance , compared to the ones next to them. 5 in total 2...
Ok update, Found nothing tbh, unplugged every plug from behind the dash to the engine bay fuse box checked for loose of rotten pins or sockets and found none, replaced all the relays in the fuse box and 4.5k miles later ive had no issues , so at the moment im calling it fixed. @airline tech...
Wow as for things thats been changed.....
5 injectors
Fuel pump high pressure and low pressure
Turbos 3 of em (dont ask long story none failed)
Gear box 6r80 inc torque converter
Wiring harness for the gearbox
Tcm
Pcm
Every sensor on the engine (all oem)
I have no other issues , ive been fighting this for 12months no fault codes nothing , just the cut. Annoyingly it could be fine for 3 or 4 hours
With KOEO (Key on Engine Off) that is the normal Gen Desired Voltage 10.6 Volts, so it MAY possibly be an issue on this circuit, the PCM is thinking...
Ok i have pulled the engine harness and checked it end to end with a load device (bulb) and dont get a fault shown.
I will build it back up over the weekend and run it and video a complete engine pid list as it fails and post it up on my youtube page during the week and see what we can see.
Im...
So i disconnected the lin wire and other than a warning light on the dash it ran fine, and the generator desired voltage didnt change and under load still cut.
I have the engine loom out at the moment looking at all the wiring as i need to find this "generator desired voltage" line but im...
I use forscan with
I will come back to you at the weekend mate with information we have had the first snow of the winter im gunna throw it in a mates garage at the weekend, i use forscan with genuine vcm2, i have frds but having issues with the licence
@airline tech , some great and useful info Ok I can check these later this week, my nightmare is I'm on 4am to 1400 shifts this week and work in the centre of London , so I'm not home till 1700 and its dark here then.
I've posted a couple of images , my alternator only has a 2wire circuit, main...
I've changed the throttle peddle and throttle body , tested all the wiring to n from both items and the alternator, the UK only uses a 2 wire unit b+ and a signal to the alternator which is only 8 volts at ignition.
It only fails under load and once hot, today I drove for 3.5 hours before it...
I have a better video, it's shorter but there is and issue with copyright , radio was on 😂🤣
Today is the first time I've had the battery light flash.
I've also changed the alternator
Ok I run a 3.2 diesel with a 6r80 box , it started throttle cutting and calling for neutrals march time, no codes 🤷🏻 I've narrowed it down to this it kills the voltage and shuts the pcm
@airline tech
Where does the reference line generator desired voltage come from ?
This infernal engine cut I'm getting , relates to intermittent voltage cut on ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 that line
