Not sure if the sensor can do the ABS bleed, not sure I would need it anyway since I just flushed the brake fluid and didn't have any issues.
The OBDII reader (Ancel AD410) indicated I have a P2112 error code (Throttle Actuator 'A' Control System - Stuck Closed). I reset the code, and...
About 5 minutes into my drive into work, driving about 35mph, the Pre-Collision assist warning appeared, and I figured it was just some snow or debris on my sensor and I thought nothing of it. About a minute later the Hill Start assist failure warning appeared, and the traction control failure...
I Amazon overnighted a head gasket combustion leak test kit, as linked below. Did the test this morning and the fluid stayed blue allegedly indicating that no exhaust is getting into the coolant system. So I feel a bit better driving the truck and seeing what happens to the coolant color and...
Well I drained the coolant ( far left) added a bottle of Preston coolant cleaner with distilled water, drained it ( middle) then did another fill and drain with distilled water ( far right). Filled it back up with Ford Motorcraft yellow coolant, installed a new cap, and did the above mentioned...
I wouldn't say there's any white film, that mightve been a reflection. Im doing a "flush" with distilled water and prestone cooling system cleaner, and see where that takes me. And no white sludge in either of those places
Highly doubt it... ive only had it in for 2 oil changes at the Ford dealership a couple years ago, everything else ive done myself and only just added some yellow 2 weeks ago.
When i first noticed it it was a 1/2 in below the min, so I filled it to the max line, and now after the 2800 mile trip its down just below the min line again.
There aren't any other symptoms to indicate it's the head gasket ( my biggest fear), so hopefully I can pinpoint a leak and/or maybe...
Hello,
I have a 2021 Ford Ranger with 78k miles. While getting ready for a big trip, I noticed my coolant was low/dirty, no other issues. I filled it up with new coolant, and went about my business. Drove it 2800 miles in 7 days, from WI to NM and back hauling a 1800lb trailer. Never had any...
A very valid question... I left my OEM shocks in my parents garage for that exact purpose... but they got thrown out by accident. By my math getting the Fox shocks rebuilt would be $500 bucks, plus shipping both ways and however long it would take for them to be rebuilt with the truck on blocks...
Currently have Fox 2.0 coilovers on my 2021 Ford Ranger. The clilovers have 70k miles on them so they are due for replacement. I found the below Bilstein coilovers minus the upper assembly for a reasonable price. My question is can I use the Fox upper assembly ( where the three bolts stick out...
Just curious, what would turning the rear locker on do in regards to having a 285/70/17 tire? I haven't heard about this and am debating on what tire size to go with. My '21 FX4 has the rear locker option. Thanks!
I called Fox yesterday and they said some rubbing is normal until it settles after a few hundred miles. Dont know if I particularly buy that, but I got the truck aligned by my Ford dealer and it drives great. Still squeaks, but hopefully that goes away after a while.
Update:
Took apart the whole assembly again, and installed the old coilover. The noise is now gone. I looked at the fox coilover, and on the second coil from the top, it looks like it's been scraping something. In my opinion, when the coil is compressed, it is running on the top black cylinder...
Hello,
I recently installed a set of Fox 2.0 Coilovers onto my 2021 Ford Ranger XLT FX4. The install went okay, with a couple small hiccups, which I will detail below. The current issue is that on the front driver's side suspension, is a strange creaking noise when I rock the vehicle. I can't...
