The correct choice is to use a “chaser” tap. A cutting tap is designed to create new threads, whereas a chaser tap is designed to clean, re-form and restore existing threads.
push toward the outside of the truck. i went parallel to the grill in front of the headlight liners.
one other trick..in the video they show putting the flat divider back in after you clip the grill back in. it's much easier to slide it in before and then snap the grill in.
you could always tell yourself it's too complicated and time consuming install to worry about getting them :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

think its gonna depend..... size 9 combat boots don't fit very well on there. haven't tried it with other shoes since that's what i wear 99% of the time. works great for the wife, but she has a grab handle on her side. i wish it was a little wider, but they look great and are solid!
then they are mounted too close to the body. factory body mounts are rubber and have some give and you have to account for that. the only way I see to fix this would be to lower the sliders or maybe change out the body mounts for polyurethane ones, if anyone is making them yet.
they shouldn't move at all, much less hit the body on a bump. Is something loose or did you lose a bolt?
the tabs he is talking about are long pieces of metal attached to the nut to be able to place it inside the frame to screw the bolts holding the rock sliders to the frame.
i don't think they were available there when you bought yours. i didn't see them there until one of the sponsors had them on sale for $200 maybe 2 weeks ago.
there are 2 types. 70% and 90%. now most modern cars have a some light blocking already inherent to them, so using the 70% would put them under, but the 90% will keep you legal. I got the 70% put on and you can't tell the difference.
