  1. Rear Brake Wearing

Just had this exact issue with my passenger rear. Slide bolts were gunked up. Took them out, cleaned with brake cleaner and re-greased with brake grease to fix. Also had to swap pads (and rotors) as the inner pad was worn down to almost nothing.
  2. Parking Brake is stuck; will not disengage.

Had what I thought was a stuck parking brake impacting rear passenger wheel. Turns out the caliper pins were gunked up to the point I had the interior pad dragging. Easy fix to take them off, clean and re-grease, though unfortunately I hadn't noticed so needed to replace rotors and pads.

  4. Thieves targeting Toyota Tacoma trucks as tailgate thefts spike

My tailgate would be too difficult to remove due to the damper.
  5. OVS expedition cap

To be clear none of this is proof. I understand all of the above but RSI claims to produce their product in their own factory locations in SA and Texas. Not in an outsourced Chinese factory. Now either they are flat out lying about this or they aren’t. You are claiming they are lying and I...
  6. OVS expedition cap

RSI is not a Chinese manufacturer. They are South African and claim to manufacture in either a facility in SA or in a newer one in Texas.
  7. OVS expedition cap

Do you have some proof of this? RSI is mass producing their caps at a Chinese factory and is directly selling unbranded versions of the same caps they are selling to rest of world through Alibaba? Not calling you a liar but can’t blindly take the word of an employee for a competitor brand.
  8. OVS expedition cap

I got them before RSI was making them from some aftermarket solution. Can’t recall where now. I think now I would probably just reach out to RSI.
  9. OVS expedition cap

I have been super happy with my RSI Smartcap. I don't baby it and have never had a single issue with it other than the known issue of crud getting into locks (solved by some caps they sent). It wasn't cheap, but I like the looks, it is well made, and it delivered to my door and wasn't too...
  10. Replacement Brake Pad Recommendations?

$70 aint cheap, but when I divide that by 120k miles ... the per mile price is hard to beat!
  11. What winch are you using?

I am running a Superwinch SX10SR and have no complaints. Mounted with hidden winch mount behind stock bumper.
  12. Water sloshing noise under dashboard

I also hear same thing sometimes a startup but doesn’t last so I haven’t worried about it.
  13. What is this bracket in the engine for?

Mounted my winch control box there.

I think "5 year old" sums up Elon Musk fairly aptly.
  15. New York Undercover tri fold hard top tonneau cover

  17. Recovery ring?

Can move some heavy weight with these things!
  18. Recovery ring?

They work just fine and have the benefit of being much lighter weight than traditional snatch block with the trade off of a bit friction and not being mid line attachable. I just picked up a new one from Yankum Ropes that is pretty nice.
  19. 2019 Ford Ranger 4x4 hub wheel studs

Haven't done it, but I think you would only need to remove rotors to get access.
  20. Hidden Winch Mount is default cable length long enough?

7’ should be plenty. Not sure if your control box is going to need to be relocated or not (or if jt can be) but if so you will need cable for that as well. I used a relocation kit from a company called Vice Designs to relocate control box from my Superwinch to a spot under the hood...
