First winter with this truck and noticing a creaking sound from front suspension when I hit a hole going slow down hill. Didn’t really notice this until it got cold but it is definitely loud and almost sounds like a crunch/creak. This is stock Tremor (Fox) suspension with no modifications other...
I misread the original post as installing strut spacers using just the cheap supplied scissor jack. That seemed unsafe to me without using jack stands. I still stand by my decision to get a better jack than the cheap garbage that came with the truck. Did the same with my previous car. I...
Why would the truck fall?! Should be using jack stands to work on any car/truck.
As far as roadside emergency jacking I bought a Safe Jack kit as every factory provided jack I have ever had has been garbage.
Y’all checking your oil level daily? I don’t think I have checked mine since I changed it few thousand miles ago. Guess I should remedy that. I am
Expecting gas to come bubbling out of it when I pull the dipstick!
A suspension lift for an IFS suspension is not going to necessarily allow larger tires. It doesn't change the upper point of suspension travel, so if the tire is rubbing pre-lift, it will rub in the same part of the travel post lift.
Curious about the Icon Delta joint. Claims to last a lot longer with easier maintenance but it is proprietary and hasn’t been around all that long (relatively). I know Icon UCAs are not yet available for all of our trucks but just curious about the ball joint on them.
Companies file patents for all sorts of things they will never pursue. Much of this is about having an arsenal of patents to fight against “patent trolls” (law firms who specialize in getting frivolous patents only for the purpose of suing actual companies).
I debadged my Tremor. Figure easy enough to order new stickers from dealer if I want to put back on to sell. I swapped my entire grille out but kept the old one. I don’t think any of those mods are very hard to reverse if you want.
Yep no easy answers. I just think it is beyond hypocritical to talk about the environmental impact of a Tesla while driving a gas burning car.
I live about 10 miles from an aging nuclear plant that has a history of “accidents” so I get the fear of nuclear. They do send me an emergency radio...
Ever seen an oil spill? The big spills seem to happen every few years or so. Not saying lithium doesn’t have its problems, but compared to petroleum it has a long way to go before it even comes close to the environmental damage.
