Mine came with the tow package so I don't have any experience with adding a 7 pin.
BTW here are a few other random details about putting the knob into that lid..
I used super glue to permanently close the lid, because it was possible to flip it open a tiny bit even with the knob installed...
It may have been me that you're thinking of, but I didn't use a third-party face place, so maybe not.
I drilled into the lid. It was a real pain in the ass. The lid is made of multiple pieces and you have to be very careful / go very slow. I am very happy with the end results, though.

Interesting that you had to resort to the fancy hitch! I wonder if there were other steps you may have been able to take before resorting to the expensive hitch, though?
Have you ever weighed your trailer and tongue to see how well your cargo was balanced? Did the trailer ride level (looks...
Agreed - I went from single axle to dual axle as well and dual feels better. Also did rear shocks on the truck (Eibach PRO Truck) to firm things up a bit.
Nice writeup!
FYI built-in sway control is part of the electronic stability control system. It only activates when there's a problem. When it activates, you'll see it and hear it. People think that he helps prevent sway, but unfortunately it only reacts to sway to try and prevent an accident...
Hmm I feel like this is backwards. I liked the stock suspension UNTIL I started towing. I reluctantly bought aftermarket rear shocks to firm things up because the stock (non-FX4) shocks were too soft and became sloppy when towing. I feel like Ford's suspension choices are geared most towards...
I don't have a number for you but the OP15 looks like an impressive off-road trailer.
It appears to use a non-standard hitch so I guess you'll be getting the proper rise/drop directly from OPUS? I guess that also means that weight distribution and anti-sway hitches aren't going to be...
Those are really nice looking trucks. I notice them a lot. Funny thing is that I find the Silverado to be very unattractive, which is odd since they're quire similar.
These look good, although I wish there was a bit more flexibility. I think would like a more modest 1" - 1.5" drop in the front and 2" - 3" drop in rear, or something like that, so that there's a little bit of room for squat under load.
Looks great, @Floyd !
I did something similar but I somehow always manage to hide my fun projects deep within other threads: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/wireless-charging-install.2704/post-256749

The first one should work if you have it setup as a Bluetooth transmitter. USB should only be used for power, not for passing the music over. That's what the Bluetooth part is for.
Basically, you power the transmitter using a USB port. You pair the transmitter to SYNC like a phone. And you feed...
I see one every week or two at most. Usually the same one, decked out with Domino's Pizza decals, delivering pizzas. Coolest delivery truck ever, though.
I used to tow a 3200 lbs Jayco 174BH without a WDH and it was okay. I would feel sway when other vehicles passed. While it didn't worry me, it still wasn't a great feeling, and detracted from the experience. I also didn't like how much the trailer could bounce the truck when driving in-town on...

I personally went with the cheapest option I could find which was the Eibach's and they've been great.
While I don't want to agree with you.. I do very much agree on this point.
Every time I've gone to a dealership (new vehicle in particular), I knew more than the sales person. Like a lot more. Almost like they'd never looked at the trim levels or sat in the vehicle before. And this really...
The Lumen module reads the CHMSL wire and makes a new 12V/0V signal that the brake controller can understand. The CHMSL signal as-is, is not compatible with a brake controller. Doesn't matter where you get the CHMSL signal from, it will need to be adapted into something a brake controller can...
