It was time consuming but not very hard. I’ve never messed with this stuff before, so I just took my sweet time and enjoyed it. Took me about 2.5hrs for the one door, but I’ll probably do the next door in half that time now. The second skin material is really nice and really easy to work with. I...
Started this sound deadening job for the doors. Ordered some second skin. Did one door today, pretty easy. I can’t believe the difference in the way the door sounds.
Ordered some second skin sound deadening material for the doors. Never attempted installing this stuff before so fingers crossed. Just going to take my time with it. Hoping to get at least a couple doors done this weekend.
If it was really necessary you could take it off, but adjusting it is a pain in butt. It wouldn’t be something you would want to do very often. It’s basically only held on by 4 hand tightened nuts in the back, so you could take it off really fast if needed.
Joined the dark side today and picked up a tailgate dampener with my reward points from stage3motorsports. The points from the Bak tonneau cover basically paid for it, so added bonus. I went ahead and sprung for the auto up/down version though…
I like the looks of the regular better. But I also kinda feel like if the whole point is protecting the truck from rocks, the wider ones make more sense. I’ll probably roll with the beefier ones. Now I just gotta decide if the red letters would look good on the cactus tremor ?
Basically the dealer had an order on a Ranger for a regular allocation. Right before Ford issued a VIN for this truck, they changed it to a customer order. All I did was change the color.
I just found out that my GEIKO ins has MBI insurance (mechanical breakdown insurance) added into my premium. It’s basically an extended warranty program that’s 7 year / 100k. Roughly 17 bucks a month extra. Coverage isn’t bad. Plus if I sell the truck early, I’m not out the extra. So over the 7...
I agree. I ran it through the car wash yesterday and I didn’t get much of anything in the rear, but I had some near the tailgate. It comes through the gaps in the sides of the tailgate. It’s nothing crazy, it could probably be mitigated quite a bit with a tailgate seal kit. I had my daughters...
I’ve only had my truck for a week or so and I noticed it at night. I had to look to make sure it wasn’t broke. It’s one of those things where it’s not really needed, but even the cheapest cars have it. There’s a few little things that could’ve went a long way when added up. Kinda wish they...
Added a Bak revolver X4s tonneau cover today. So far I really like it. Wasn’t too hard to install, just took my time with it over the holiday weekend. Prob about 3 hours total time spent over over a few days tinkering with it in between manning the smoker and holiday festivities. Spent about an...
Does anyone else have this in between the camera and the windshield of their Ranger? I didn’t notice it when I picked the truck up last week from the dealer, but I had the windows tinted and they added the clear ceramic on the front glass. I asked the guys at the tint shop about it, but they...
My tremor finally came in this week. I negotiated x-plan prior to ordering, and the dealer honored that even though they are now charging $5k over MSRP on everything. I was also able to cash in on 2 incentives for a total of 2k off x-plan. Couldn’t be happier about it with the current market...
When I called my ins this morning to add the vehicle to my policy, they asked if I did any modifications to truck. Probably should’ve said dampener and saved some money.
