I read this article... and then I bought a Ranger. Maybe that's the problem; I read some bad and a lot good about the gen 5 Ranger. Same with the Taco and Colorado. My point is that all people are different, just like their butts and backs so there's never going to be the perfect car or the...
Just removed my 21 Lariat's chrome grill with 300 miles on it and I probably shouldn't have. By the time I got done with it, the lower clips were snapping off like stick pretzels! Oh man! I watched the Stage 3 raptor grill video like 10 times and still botched it!
Anyway, if you're feeling like...
Part of the reason I'm on this forum and in a 21 Ranger is because the 22 Frontier I had for less than a week fried not one, but two ignition coils in 200 miles. Dealer took it back and I'm happy now. I just think global sourcing is a mess so quality, both foreign and domestic, is a crapshoot...
Good to know you sir! Could you possibly get me a shipping discount on the newly available M8200FRD Ranger grill? Price is best around but $50 ship a little high. Thank you!
I had my 2001 Taco for 21 years and it was reliable as hell! It was also slow, noisy, inefficient and top heavy. The other concern was that year after year, Toyota was content to keep the stodgy old thing basically unchanged. Those attributes and the bathtub seating position had me looking at...
Apologies from the newbie, but I can't seem to turn the back up alarms down.
It's loud enough to make some occupants jump if my truck "sees" rear cross traffic.
There has to be an adjustment but I'm missing it.
Advice is appreciated with thanks!
First Ranger, first 4WD and I'm really happy but it has occurred to me that I really have no idea what the capabilities are.
One of the selling points for 4wd is added safety during adverse weather conditions. I figured four on the floor would help especially in rain but now I see that Ford...
21 Lariat owner can confirm no lighting for gear shift except on instrument panel. Keep looking down at the black hole!
Hi/lo dial is illuminated but helps to be looking down on it a bit to see clearly since light is dim to me.
Hi all, my 21 Lariat feels fairly tech forward except for the occasional stumble.
For obvious reasons, incandescent bulbs in newer cars bug the heck out of me. That's why I was a little surprised when I had to change out the license plate lights to led. WTH?
On the top model?
Anyway, since I've...
One man's opinion but for looks, the thinner the better. My build came with the 4" steps and while I've already received a couple of shin burgers , my midsize wife swears by them.
They're all new to me so you should see me do that awkward dance move when I can't figure which foot to bring up...
Very interested in your testing. I mistakenly went on tow mode the other day with a noticable change in shift points and engine sound. Kinda smoothed out the power train response in general.
I'm going to go with M8200. I think it looks a little tougher.
Good luck! https://www.stage3motorsports.com/m-8200-frd-19-21-ranger-ford-performance-grille.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAnaeNBhCUARIsABEee8VpL8nSl9Z-wTbROf9yZqPmTlsXqhkqimsuuBxcI4XZfyWb-NQ465waAsioEALw_wcB
Socal here, San Diego area. Bought a 21 Lariat off the lot during the one week EOM consumer cash savings of $2500. Brought the cost of a 4wd hi option to $40,120.00. I was pushed extremely hard for the overpriced and, essentially, not worth it alarm and protection pkgs. I did walk one time since...
