  4. Tailgate lock

My hard lid locks the tailgate too, if setup that way. So while tailgate locks/un-locks with central locking, you can't open tailgate unless you unlock the hard lid with key. Think a few lids have this feature. Obviously buying a hard lid is a big step to fix a small issue, but it works.
  5. Project Car - other than Ranger.

I live vicariously through my wife's, "not your bloody project car", daily driver at the moment. With the ranger done, it was either mod that, or the lawn mower. I'm still not sure if she doesn't notice (other than the obvious bits), or she just plays dumb. I accidently vented the BOV the other...
  6. Motorcycle BS Thread

Asperger's my man, even I find it funny. My wife, not so much
  7. Motorcycle BS Thread

I did the Australian usual. Started at 4 on a family members 50cc. Messed around with Aussie "Postie Bikes", Honda CT110's. Went to my first serious bike, 2001 YZ250, then YZ250F's and the whole "motocross/FMX scene". Then went enduro with the first Italian Husky WR 2-Stroke's ('07ish?). I...
  8. 303 GRAPHENE NANO SPRAY COATING

Hi Phil, I live in a similar environment, beachside town, outside 24/7. I've got about 6 coats in about 8 months on mine. I think. Noticed this morning that water is still beading nicely and now it doesn't seem to need re-application anywhere near as often. I think, and I'm only assuming, that...
  9. Leather Condition

They went from feeling like rice paper, to feeling like my much loved couches lol. You can tell if they need it, they feel dry to the touch. The sun and the aircon, every time. I'd imagine the cold (in cold places) would have a similar effect. The Autoglym stuff never seems to make them oily...
  10. Crazy people you want to have a beer with...

Michael Taylor, motoring journo. I've read so many of his pieces, I feel like I know what he'll write about a car, before I've even read the article. Hi Lambo Gallardo Superleggera first drive is etched in my memory, like it was yesterday. Crazy? Well, crazy (exciting) life.
  11. TPMS Sync Issues

I did the same (admittedly, Aus-spec Ranger). Factory sensors in new wheels. Everyone said it would re-learn automatically. 1,000km later, still hadn't. Purchased tool, done in 5 mins and tool now lives in glove compartment. I've no doubt some (most/all) do re-learn automatically, but mine...
  12. Leather Condition

My son's the only one who uses back seat and that's in his car seat. I just find the aircon seems to dry the leather out fast and mine's on constantly. Do all the seats need it? Prob not every time. But mine were allowed to get quite dry, so my last 3 applications (since I installed the seats)...
  13. BWFFR Build

I've never seen the LED tail lights on before, they look awesome!
  14. Leather Condition

I try and condition them (Autoglym) every time the drivers seat gets dirty enough to need a clean (4-8 weeks, I guess?). If I notice discolouration, be it from jumping in with dusty pants, or the ever slight blue stain you get over time wearing jeans daily, I clean the dirty seat, then give all...

  17. Anybody in to Lego?

Hahaha, it took a few sessions, but it was done over a week. And it's getting well used, I can tell you that mate!
  18. Anybody in to Lego?

Son got Raptor for his birthday. I, have now finished building said Raptor.
  19. 303 GRAPHENE NANO SPRAY COATING

Update from me. Truck and car still looking great. Stove didn't explode and super easy to clean now. Glass exterior doors still shed water as soon as the rain stops, it's amazing. And I also did under the drying rack on my stainless kitchen sink. Even stainless gets rust marks this close to...
