Then the second weekend, we had a wind storm with sustained winds over 100km, and gusts above 120km. The wind came directly at the side of my soft garage. I had it anchored very well, but the wind bent/broke the frame and all but knocked it down. It ripped the door to shreds, ripped the back...
Fire department did an investigation and decided it was electrical in the back storage room, but couldn't offer much else. Insurance company sent their own investigator who held the same opinion, but added that he felt it was an extension cord to a utility light. The light was turned off, and I...
I got a hotel room, and later that day, my then 9 month old female dog Trixie, went into heat, and left a nasty mess on the white sheets. I was able to get some diapers for her.
Before long it was time to go to work, which I decided I was taking the dogs in with me. My back seat is removed and...
So I thought I had posted about this but apparently not.
Sunday Nov 13 at 6 am, my boy Kyuss woke me up to the back house of my house on fire. I stood up, and was immediately felled by the smoke down to half mast. The house was pitch black, and not even any light coming in from outside, as I...
Thanks Duke. I thought I had posted a thread about the whole adventure, but apparently not. Mr Big face in my avatar woke me up, and we all got out safely, the house and stuff can be replaced.
I had my winters on when I moved in, I was a little concerned about my summers swap over, they are a little taller.
Thanks. Yes, me and the dogs got out, and the house is being rebuilt, so all is as good as it can be.
That you can use it any where in the box, including over teh wheel wells is great. Feet on the bottom to hold it is great. Skeletonized so you can tie things to it and see through it is great.
I'd much prefer it secure to the sides of the box, not the top rail though, and it's too spendy IMO...
That sucks Jason, but definitely could have been worse. Glad you're okay at least ;)
My house burned down in November so I moved into a rental. After reading how many on here need stubbie antennas or don't fit in the garage at all, I was a little worried my lifted and big tire Ranger wouldn't...

@AzScorpion weren't you looking for a chance to swing the ban hammer? ;)

I'm also on Duratracs, and love them.
That's strange, especially that it is not constant. I don't notice much extra noise. Maybe it's a size, ply, P/LT or PSI difference. I'm running LT285/70-17 D rated at 37PSI.
Even switching to my winters, I don't notice any noise difference.
That sucks, luckily it's still operable and not sitting in the body shop waiting for repairs. Hopefully it's relatively minor and a bumper upgrade fixes everything.
Kingston Ontario? I have the piece you need. It's in my barn in Nanticoke. I think it's in perfect condition but will need to take a look and confirm over the next few days.
Twice the price, and only 2/3 the capacity? Rangers and I believe all the mid-size trucks are over 2 ton. I wonder what the target vehicle is for that?
Yes I am. I started driving semi ~30 years ago. I then bounced around Public Works for a while, and semi-retired in 2020. Now I only work winters driving truck/plough.
Pretty awesome looking jack, great that it has onboard secure storage for the extension saddle and the Allen wrench. I think it's a little too big and heavy to make my regular off-road kit though.... And almost $600 in Canada, YIKES!
