Hey all,
My truck is 2021 with 71k. I've noticed when washing the truck, the coolant level is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch below the MIN level. I've read a bunch of threads about the cause "can" be EGR Cooler/sensor or head gasket. I don't have any issues with the truck and I am the original...
I’ve only towed once, and don’t plan on towing anytime soon.
I do like how the transmission is reacting now and I hope it stays that way. Skipping gears is fine and my shifts smooth.
I will keep an eye for it. I got 12 months to decide if it will happen and/or if I’m willing to deal with this process all over again if this issue comes back.
So, I’ve been paying attention on how the shifting is ascending as well after my overhaul. Ford re-flashed SW and told me that it will take some time to re-learn the patterns. If I accelerate at normal speeds, it skips going to 4th and goes straight to 5th gear from 3rd, very smooth. If I go...
Update: I got the truck back after transmission overhaul. Drives like a dream, hopefully it stays that way. They gave me 12 months 12k warranty for the transmission since I’ll likely be out of warranty period in few thousand miles. Driveshaft is on back order, so I’ll be waiting for that to be...
Update: So, my truck is at the last level of repairs after performing all the software updates and valve body overhaul. After all that dealer is still seeing harsher shift from Reverse. So they will now do the CDF Drum. The dealer is also replacing the driveshaft and awaiting parts. The warranty...
I was also thinking more in those lines as well. Talked to some folks on IG, and I hear that after the rebuild/overhaul the issue has be resolved for the most part.
@Jason B I read it as he went through it, since he mentions "after having TSB done" in his 1st sentence.
I will see if I can get a new unit. This is my first ever Ford vehicle, not feeling great or confident about their product.
So, I was having the rough shifting issue like most on here. Mainly going up/down a hill and slowing down, the transmission would shift down aggressively. I was dealing with it, and if I feather the gas pedal, I was able to control most times. But it was hit and miss honestly.
I knew it's my...
Call them and they will offer you a "used" plan, after going through one of their own inspections. Mine was out of warranty @50k, I was offered a plan that maxed out at an additional 75k miles.
