    I don't consider the cover a deleted item. It's offered in a redesigned Ranger for 2024. But it makes me think that the cover could have had an opportunity to be in the Ranger as far back as 2021. Below is a picture of a 2021 Ford Bronco with a 2.3L. Notice what is covering the fuel pump...

    My question is....are the studs for the engine cover and the fuel pump cover the same? I did some digging of my own and it seems the studs are different. These are the engine cover studs. And these are listed as the studs for the 2024 Ranger I hope it DOES come with studs. If not, and...

    The tube/fuel line assembly is not the same. Look closely at the 1st picture. It looks longer so it can have space for that cover.

    So, what happens when you come across this?

    The pump itself has a cover. It's the same material as the engine cover. I can see it on my 2019. It's this.... https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/fuel-injection-and-pumps/cover-opening-23l-p-kb3z9d440b KB3Z9D440B Since it's directly on the pump, maybe it's there for protection from heat.

    At the 2 minute 11 second mark...he mentions the port being slightly loose. It's the gasket. It was measured with a spray-on bed liner in mind. If it's the original paint like in the video, all you have to do is get a thicker gasket. You're going to have to make your own.
