Yeah, dropped the back 1.5", had the springs de-arched by a local spring shop, with shorter bump stops, you may have to adjust the pinon angle if you get a driveline vibration.
I prefer to level a truck by dropping the rear, vs raising the front, I don't tow much or carry heavy loads, so it's...
I would think that would do it, I don't know, It barely touches now, and I think I'm bottoming the suspension, I hit the bump in the turn really hard to check it, way harder than you would normally drive it, I probably will make a change to the front bars anyways.
Here are the knuckle pics, lots of room, but... these are the Falcon Wildpeaks AT3W's, they are discontinued, I had trouble finding them, they are rated as one of the best wet traction tires, but the AT4W that Falcon replaced them with does NOT get as good of a wet rating. With tires they are...
I got the global leaf springs, then de-arched them 1.5" with short bump stops.
I ride a 9kw, heavy (130#) ebike, I wanted to lower the back for easier loading, 1.5" at the axle lowered the tailgate 3", plus I don't care for the stinkbug look, so yeah, most would raise the front.
Hey Dan, it works with any pan, the proper level is the same no matter what the pan is, full is full, the volume can be small or large, the level is the same.
Thanks for your interest?
Up close clearance type pics? tire to knuckle, frame or crash bar pics? or tires on the truck pics?
Here is a truck shot, I took it off road briefly, so the tires are dirty.
The tires look like they fill the wheel wells a lot better than the stock tires, but they are less than an inch bigger...
I fit the Falcon Wildpeaks, AT3W in 275-70-17 I did remove the plastic covers and loosen the crash bar bolts to move them a bit, and it does barely touch on the left front bar on hard left turns over bumps.
Lock to lock is good no rubbing, it can't fit any bigger that's for sure!
I will see if...
I missed this topic, but I got Grumpaw sorted out in a message, the tip can sometimes catch the inside of the hose fitting on the very first dipsticks.
It's weird, on the first dipsticks, sometimes out of the blue it would hang up, then be fine, especially if you put it in slowly.
This is the...
When I called Ford on this, his comment was:
"the tune is very conservative, we have not seen any failures yet, but, it is a aftermarket modification, any warranty claims past 36/36 are subject to denial if Ford deems the tune is the cause"
This was 2021 when I called, I don't know if they...
I got tired of having to clean the seat between the dog riding in the front and the wife riding in the front, most of the time it's not so bad, but if the sprinklers are running at the park the dog messes up everything, I have the dog liner for the back seat, nothing for the front.
So I took a...
That's about what I figured, I may do a 1/4 spacer if it was hub centric, I don't really want to get wheels, so I may end up with the stock size tires, which was okay new, but now that they are worn out they look tiny.
Thanks for the info?
That is the size I hope to fit, I think I will probably have to do something with the crash bars though.
This is good, can't wait to see your results, Thanks!!
I would like the Falken Wildpeaks AT3 or AT4, for starters, the AT3's are discontinued, but are still available in the 275 size, the 265's were available 3 days ago on Tire rack, but they are all gone now.
Maybe the Toyo AT3 Open country, and maybe the Nitto Ridge grapplers, not BFG tko, they so...
Has anyone squeezed in a bigger tire on a stock wheel without removing/replacing the crash bars? the stock Tremor size is the 265-70-17
I know lots of bigger tires have gone on lifted rangers, I'm hoping something, anything bigger will fit, I don't think a 275-70-17 will fit but it may...
It's a custom fitting I had made, the wrenching size has been reduced from 1 1/8" to 15/16", and it's shorter. If you bought a off the shelf fitting it would change the calibration of the dipstick, I may be able to send you one if you want one, I should have some extra ones when I get done with...
