So I got the newer touch screen tuner. Had to pay the 300 to get it reset to my VIN. They were very fast and helpful on the phone. 300 basically gets you lifetime service with that VIN. Unlimited tunes, revisions, adjustments etc.
That's odd, I feel like if it's the same software it should work.
I just got off the phone with livernois. If it's the newer mycal touch then I will need to call them and pay 300 to have it reset. If it is the older 4 button version then I am good to go. Still waiting for delivery but I should...
I bought a livernois mycalibrator tuner used. Its still in shipping. No turning back.
If the previous owner unmarried it with their truck before selling, am I going to need to contact/pay Livernois to have it reset or should I be okay? Are the tunes on the mycal for our ranger able to be used...

Alright I might put it on the back burner in that case. I plan on doing a tune but would like to have my mods in place first. What does everyone recommend for cost effective mods? Charge pipes? Exhausts are expensive as well.
What's up fam? I'm looking into my first engine mod and I'm thinking of cold air intake. The price points on the aftermarket kits are a little ridiculous. Does anyone know of a way to make or achieve the benefits of a cai without paying several hundred bucks?

Found the same ones on Amazon. Not sure if I like the outcome in the pictures. Made by the same company as the one from walmart.
Sounds like a leak of some sort. Maybe a boost leak? Could be the wastegate, bov, or a coupler somewhere along the line. I haven't spent much time under the hood on this engine but check your rubber boots and piping all along the turbo system. My SRT4 would make a similar noise before the boot...
