My better half has a 2008 Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 in it and honestly, it's a complete dog. It makes noise, but no power and literally everything in it has slowly been dying. The gear whine from the rear differential has gotten so bad that basically at highway speeds, we can't even talk to...
My 2019 was bought off the lot. It checked every single box except the power in the bed option which, I soon found out, is something I can do myself for less than $100 anyway so really, I got pretty much exactly what I wanted based on some manager's opinion of what I should like.
I've been wondering the same thing. I wonder if dealers had a harder time moving the 2019s with the electronic locker so badly that they stopped ordering 2020s with it in general. I've even noticed around here that most of the 2020s on the lots don't have it either. When I was shopping for my...
If (and it's a huge IF, for sure), I was wanting to go any smaller than the Ranger, especially with a FWD platform, I'd have to have a manual transmission option and I sincerely doubt Ford is even considering it. All the articles are saying eight-speed slushbox only.
You should've kept going with the copy/paste...

I don't really understand the need for them, but I wouldn't say that I frown upon them. The only thing I frown upon is when people call them a dampener instead of a damper, which is what they actually are. Unless you're trying to get your tailgate wet, what you're thinking of is a damper...
Phil,
I don't want to drill through anything but my BedRug to allow the cord from the V1 kit to pass through. I suspect a simple grommet would be enough to keep the BedRug from coming apart at the hole any further than the drilled hole itself.
That sticker is great! Where'd you get it?
On topic: I have a 4X4 and honestly, at this point, I probably would've been just fine with a 4X2 with an electronic rear differential locker. My truck has that too and locking the rear differential almost always is enough to get me moving. Could've...
I'd really like to get something like the V1 setup for camping in my shell, but I have a BedRug and am a bit concerned about mounting anything to that at all. What do you think about drilling a small hole for the V1 harness to pass through and inserting a grommet for the hole?
