I've read stories about exploding sun roofs, but this is the first case of this I've seen. I guess anything's possible.
Or it might just be the Ranger5G decal that did it:rolleyes:.
I've been using them for the last 15 years or so on the three Ford trucks I've owned in that time, and I swear by them. No rust whatsoever and the various paint treatments they have available will keep your truck looking factory fresh for years. And no, I don't own a Ziebart franchise, just a...
This is my beef with most new trucks now, and especially Ford. They want everything to look "butch" as I call it, or perhaps macho is a better word. This goes back to the Tonka Toy look that they adopted back in the early 2000's.
My first Ford was a 2004 F-150 Heritage, which was a holdover of...
I'm with you. I had a ceramic coating put on the truck, but before doing it I thought I'd take the stickers off. However, even though I'm not a sticker guy I decided to leave them on- the truck looks kinda naked without them. Glad I left them. And like you I infilled the letters on the tailgate...
When I saw these my first thought was "WTF?????????". Never saw this before.
They do seem to be holding up pretty well. Just hope my dog doesn't pee on them:crazy:.
I've used various treatments from Ziebart on my last three (Ford) pickups, from rust protection to their ceramic paint finish. No complaints whatsoever. Trucks look like new even after years of ownership (15 on my first one). Surprised no one's mentioned this alternative.
Back in the day we used to hang out with a Park Ranger named Rick, and he was known to all of us as Ranger Rick.
He took his job pretty seriously so "Ricky Ranger" probably wouldn't have sat as well with him. But we did have a lot of fun together (1970's stuff, y'know ).
I had them on my previous Ford, a 2019 F-150. They were pretty nice but a bit of a chore to put them on. As I recall, the headrest covers didn't come close to fitting on the front headrests, so I stuck them on the rear ones just to have a place to keep them.
Good luck!
Not sure where you are in Missouri, but if we get a snow like that here in St. Louis it might last one or two days then melts to slush, and temps go right back up in the 40's. I have heard though Kirksville referred to as the North Pole of Missouri.
I miss a real honest-to-you know who...
Basically, yes. Is it set up that way for a reason I should be aware of? I don't want to keep operating in Sport mode with the auto/stop activated if the Ford engineers feel that could cause problems.
I can find it- it's in my glove compartment. It would be great if it actually gave me the information I need, however, it doesn't address my concern so that's why I asked here.
I've been driving a lot in Sport mode lately, and notice that as soon as I engage it the auto start/stop function is automatically disabled. Anyone know if there's a reason for this? It doesn't seem that using auto/stop in Sport mode could cause any damage.
I ask because I'm one of the few...
My wife and I visited Phoenix a number of years ago- we went outside around 10pm, it was pitch black, and still 110 degrees outside. Yikes!
But I hear it's a dry heat:whew:.
Alright, with the Ford Performance tune, I find Sport mode light years ahead of Drive mode. Reminds me of my old F-150 (2004 Heritage) with the 4.6 litre V-8. Take it out of overdrive and it's like a different engine.
I'm curious now about the Tow mode, I'll have to give it a try. Poor man's...
This is my third Ford pickup.
1st was a 2004 F-150 Heritage Supercab 2x2 (actually the last of the 2003 body style). Ride was best described as "jiggly". Translated means rough.
2nd was a 2019 F-150 XL Supercab 2x2. Ford finally figured out how to offer a smooth ride- big improvement...
