I too test drove the 23’ Tacomas. I felt they were built well, however very outdated (rear drum brakes.) What caused me to say no was the underpowered engine and sub 1000lbs payload. My Ranger has been flawless too. It amazes me all the people having issues. It’s a great midsize truck.

I agree with lcr3000. I purchased a 2022 Lariat (501a) with Tremor package for $40k. The truck only had 16k for mileage and was in mint condition. The previous owner just wanted a bigger truck. I saved about $10k since original MSRP was a little over $50k.

Those look nice! I ended up replacing my OEM boards with the Go Rhino rb20 slims. I wanted more clearance than the OEM boards offered.

Here are the boards installed. Exactly what I was looking for. Better clearance and closer to truck.

I will comment on them and show some pics. I get the boards today, however they shipped the hardware to mount the boards at a different time and location. So, will try to install once I have all the parts. Seems strange it would not be packed all together. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I too ordered the Linex version. I had a similar coating on my TRX boards and they were solid. Held up well and never chipped.

I just ordered a pair of the Rhino RB20 Slims and will post pics once installed. Thanks for everyones advice. So, I now need to sell the OEM set and will post those in the classifieds.

I think I’m leaning towards the slim version with the Linex type coating.
