  1. How about some Jokes [Admin: No Politics, Religion, Nudity, Explicit Posts]

A Florida Man story I can fully empathize with.
  2. How many miles on your 2.3L EcoBoost

None with the HVAC box. The transmission initially still shifted like crap but has smoothed out over the last several thousand miles. Even now though, it will still occasionally enter the "I don't know what I'm doing" shift mode for a few seconds, though it doesn't clunk or slam into gears...
  3. Remove upholstery rear seat super crew

The hog rings are what holds the pleats in the cloth in place. There are steel rods in the foam that the pleats attach to. Here's a pic of my rear seat after I recovered it in leather. All of those pleats are held in place with hog rings. Here's a pic of how they attach. Each one of...
  4. Remove upholstery rear seat super crew

How deep into it do you need to get? The back cover is not too bad to access. It's held on by a plastic groove on one side and a plastic clip that fits into the groove, kinda like an interlocking "U" shape. If you need to get in to the cushions, that's going to require cutting out hog rings...

  9. Ranger Raptor Owners, Alternator Question

That's one of the beauties of an old Wrangler: Pop out the floor plugs and hose it out. :sunglasses: His is a Rubicon and he was locked front and rear. The ruts were too deep (he has 32" tires, A/T to boot) and his axles got high centered.

  11. Ranger Raptor Owners, Alternator Question

The 2.7 V6 is often referred to as Medusa due to all the hoses. I imagine the 3.0 is similar. This is the best image I've found of the 3.0 where you can kinda see the alternator. In this image it appears to be a standard alternator and not a sealed unit. Yeah, looks like it needs a few more...
  12. Ranger Raptor Owners, Alternator Question

Apparently not as no one has looked at their alternator yet to see if it's sealed 🤪
  13. How many miles on your 2.3L EcoBoost

2019, 6.5 years old (it will be 7 years in December) I've been driving a lot lately and it hit 42K miles. No problems other than: Replaced HPFP at 4k miles for making its own oil Driver seat clunking (TSB 21-2236) at 12k miles Multiple times to the dealer for transmission shifting and HVAC...
