Got it back today. The replacement center support bearing was defective so they had to order another one but when the tech installed it the u joint got damaged in the process. They were going to change the yolk as well but it was on national back order with no ETA. Since I’m moving to Ohio...

Pretty sure you need to take the u joint apart to get to the nut. I’ve looked but the only videos I’ve seen for the bearing replacement is on the older gen Ranger.

Have an appointment next Tuesday. Service advisor said it was covered under power train warranty. Mine is a 2020 with 25k. When dropping the truck off Tuesday I will make sure the warranty is covering it if not I will change it myself. I’ve read where it’s not covered or the part is but not...

I ended up doing the software update. I think it was the original software from when the truck was new in 2020. So far it hasn’t given me the black screen and I haven’t had to reset it.

I have taken mine out before. There are several videos on YouTube. Here is just one.

I didn’t want to do any software updates but my radio’s screen went black almost on a daily basis. Sometimes more than once a day. The radio build was 20136 which I believe is what came with the radio and was never updated.

If and when it ever does reflect the software update I will report back. Thanks for the help.

Sorry I’m not sure I explained my question easily. I updated the 3.4.23188 software to my radio but looking at the Ford.com website with my v.i.n. # it still shows the old software that was in my Ranger. My question is how long does it take until Ford.com shows the updated 3.4.23188 software...

How long does updating the software 3.4.23188 into the Sync radio in the Ranger take for website Ford.com to recognize it on the Ford.com website?
