  1. Redarc Tow Pro Elite Install

I'm wondering if his brakes are going to go ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF if the hazard lights are used, or in an AEB emergency if AEB pulses the brake lights to alert other drivers
  2. Redarc Tow Pro Elite Install

I think the Lumen module that Ford uses accounts for some extra things that simply tapping a wire directly may not.. such hazard lights vs braking, and also flashing brake lights (AEB flashes them on some vehicles instead of just turning them on). Does your setup account for things like that?
  3. Disable fake engine noise

That was a super old post. Since then there have been posts with more experiences, not to mention the addition of a setting just for it in FORscan
  4. Trailer Towing with FX4 suspension.

That's great to hear I haven't gotten to experiment much myself but I did recently do a trip at 30 psi all around (stock pressure in stock Hankooks) and it was definitely not as stable as when I was running 35 psi all around (which felt rock solid).
  5. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

Gotcha ? I guess I hadn't considered that the way ACC works might not be well known. Not only does ACC cap your speed to that of the vehicle in front of you, and not only will it let off the gas when that vehicle slows down, it can also automatically apply the brakes to maintain a safe...
  6. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

Well, the manual doesn't even mention that AEB even exists in the first place, so I guess that also means that there isn't a section to attach the warning to... I think it's that simple.. and if you browse here enough you'll see no shortage of complaints about the manual being crappy lol
  7. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

It only applies to adaptive cruise because standard cruise doesn't automatically activate the brakes for you.
  8. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

I've spent a lot of time researching and digging into this (I had a really hard time accepting that Ford's TBC was the only one we should use, since I already had a different one I wanted to use instead). I've only been chiming in about AEB but the same concerns apply to ACC as well. Put...
  9. Ford pass

Hmm maybe it's because I'm in Canada but I don't have that option EDIT: Or maybe I can't add my own records until there's at least one dealer record?
  10. I'm Alive But Still Got A Long Way To Go ...Poll

More likely to land in the hospital isn't more dangerous to you? Alrighty then. Anyway I'm out. No point in arguing with people who have their minds set anywya.
  11. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

It's just mentioned in the manual under ACC. I don't think Ford made a big announcement about it (I could be wrong). Hilariously AEB isn't even mentioned in the manual at all last time I searched it. I also tried searching for the full name but came up empty.
  12. I'm Alive But Still Got A Long Way To Go ...Poll

You missed the very next line: "In two different studies from Canada and Scotland, patients infected with the Delta variant were more likely to be hospitalized than patients infected with Alpha or the original virus strains." Childish.
  13. I'm Alive But Still Got A Long Way To Go ...Poll

The CDC isn't the actual source there. They're deferring to a Canadian study and an Scottish study (and for all we know those studies could be bullshit, but I don't expect that to be the case). About India - For all we know it ran rampant there for a long time and they didn't report on it. Last...
  14. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

I appreciate that you double-checked this and reported back. You're a bigger man than most. It's interesting, though, because if their brake controller did activate in such a way then it would change the conversation for sure.
  15. I'm Alive But Still Got A Long Way To Go ...Poll

Yep that's been an issue at certain hospitals for sure. That doesn't represent all hospitals in Canada or even Toronto area, though. Without getting into a pissing contest let me just say that my wife has major health issues and my daughter is inherited some of them. We spend a lot of time in...
  16. I'm Alive But Still Got A Long Way To Go ...Poll

Up here we're able to see capacity on any given day and this has not been the case. Not sure I'm following but I do agree that if the same rate of alcohol-related issues landed people in the ICU every day then it would cause the same issue that COVID is with regard to hospitals, doctors, and...
  17. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

I think you're missing the point. The problem isn't that people rely on AEB. That's all you seem to be fixated on. The problem is that AEB happens automatically. If it happens automatically when you are not expecting it to (which is exactly the situation when it would happen, otherwise you would...
  18. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

Trailers with surge brakes are inherently AEB-safe regardless, which is nice. Older vehicles don't have the ability to slam on their brakes without your input. If something runs out in front of you while you're doing 70 mph on the highway, they just plow through it. Vehicles with AEB will slam...
  19. I'm Alive But Still Got A Long Way To Go ...Poll

I hear arguments like this one a lot and on the surface it seems effective, but it misses many aspects of this thing that aren't obvious to most people. While there isn't a crazy mortality rate, those who do get sick and survive still put major pressure on the healthcare system, which effects...
  20. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

I never once mentioned ACC. I also never mentioned warranty. AEB (automatic emergency braking) is what you should worry about as it can turn from a safety feature into an even more dangerous situation if your equipment doesn't match. If you're not going to use compatible equipment, then turn off...
