  2. ROUSH Ranger Build

Yeah that new 'head unit' I guess you call it makes the OEM one I have look like it's from the 80's That's crazy nice!
  3. ROUSH Ranger Build

wow, you've gone all out sir! I plan to drop about 10kish, depending. This is my last 'toy'. Sounds like I need to swap out my intake plans. If I can safely get my truck into the 5's for 0-60, I'll be happy. Hell, my 02 Mustang GT wasn't that fast. I'll also enjoy the utility of the truck...
  4. ROUSH Ranger Build

First off, love your truck. I am putting together a parts list I am going to pull the trigger on next month, and I wanted to know if you had any issues with your downpipe. I plan to have a similar set up. Tune, intake, intercooler, downpipe and I already have an AWE exhaust. Going to do the...
  5. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

Oh, and the mechanic told me today he saw it had a rough country strut spacers and aftermarket upper control arms. He said the U-bolt situation was normal?: So, I think this is what I have: ( I confirmed the RC was on the cap)...
  6. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

Well I pulled the trigger on the AWE exhaust. Attached are some videos. If anyone is trying to decide between AWE and another, I'm happy to make more. I am pleased with it.
  7. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

So I get that kit, and remove the spacers. What multileafs would compliment, and would that be all I need? Yes I am also trying to figure out what tire size, offset and wheels I want
  8. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

Thank you to everyone who has participated in this thread! This is pretty much the look I want, negative offset, slightly larger wheels and tires https://www.americantrucks.com/profiles/334180?profileimage=1861282&s=MostPopular&from=0&sc=Wheels This is a little more than Frenchy said I need...
  9. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

Thank you @Frenchy ! So like this kit? Should I think about multi leaf-springs? If I am going to do it, might as well do it right...
  10. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

The bed will see little to no use, definitely nothing heavy, and I doubt I'll ever tow anything. I've always liked Rangers, which is why I have it. (started with 93' manual extended cab at age 19) At most just use it for items cannot fit in a car, no heavy gear or loads. The 10 percent off road...
  11. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

I've explored the threads but still not sure. If I need to take more pics I can. Suspension is the most important upgrade for me, and I'm not adverse to spending some money on it. I saw the old man emu kit, but I've also seen Fox and Icon spoke about a lot. It will be 90 percent on road for...
  12. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

I don't understand the whole suspension world. Do I replace coil overs, shocks, struts, leaf springs all of it? Was the lift done on the truck cheaply done? Is there a kit that provides a lift and better suspension set up all in one package? Like this...
  13. 2020 Ranger bought used, trying to understand what was done to it by previous owner

Hello all, Preparing to upgrade the suspension, but I'm not experienced with these things. Main priority is a better ride on the roads, and I wouldn't mind better ride on the dirt/offroad but it's not the priority. I don't need an elaborate set up to handle jumps, rock crawling, or anything...
  14. New Go Rhino boards installed...and musings.

Nah, it's just the driveway angle I think
  15. New Go Rhino boards installed...and musings.

I will check all of that out, thank you brother . I am looking at doing a fair number of upgrades. 1) Exhaust 2) Suspension 3) Tune 4) Mats 5) Intercooler/piping? 6) Downpipe 7) Maybe different wheel/tire set up Open to suggestions for any and all. Thinking of about 5-7k should doll her up right
  16. New Go Rhino boards installed...and musings.

I Like the 19' to 23' front end better, not a fan of the new front end but it's not terrible. If I pulled the trigger, the 20' would be sold or traded. The more I think about it the more foolish it sounds. I work a ton, so there would be infrequent off-roading, it would be just a fun...
  17. Trading 22 XLT for 24 XLT v6?

Have you had your truck dynoed? What is she putting to the wheels?
  18. Trading 22 XLT for 24 XLT v6?

I was wondering about that. Getting parts like you have would probably be enough for me. I don't need a sports car, but I like the feeling of power. Only problem for me is I'm not a mechanic, and not super handy with tools either. I'd have to find a reputable shop, and back in the say on my 00'...
  19. New Go Rhino boards installed...and musings.

Hello all, Because, why not? Here is a pic of my Ranger with these boards installed. Trying to decide if I will keep her or not. I'm basically an almost 50 year old man child, and have the itch. RR or one of the new V6's. I could pay most of the cost of a RR with less than 20 financed, but...
  20. Trading 22 XLT for 24 XLT v6?

I am debating this very thing. Ran into a bit of money, I'm getting old and this will be my last ego vehicle, if I bought one. Just paid the truck off. Have been debating between a v6 2.7 or RR...or just more upgrade on my low mile 2020. Just got my GR Running boards installed. Ugh!
