Barrie Ontario here.
Only had the truck for a few weeks now but I've done a few things:
Put on the Ford OEM steps, which I found on Kijiji.
Put on a Lund Genesis Elite tonneau cover. I love the color/texture of it.
Replaced rear shocks with Eibach's to reduce bounce/float.
Replaced the...
+1 for the 'get winters' vote from me.
I mean you can 'make do'.. until you can't. Just takes one unexpected event to change your life, or the lives of others.
FWIW insurance is more without winters, and your neighbors in Quebec have to put on winters by-law.

This is pretty typical with turbo engines. My previous two vehicles had turbos and both manufacturers touted higher than advertised horsepower when using premium fuel.
In order to clip the parts above back together I had to undo the 2 screws in the bottom of the knob, clip the parts together, and then reassemble. Out of curiosity I took apart both the original knob and the new knob.. This was also a chance for me to grab the darker ring from the old knob which...
I just tried pulling from the top only - absolutely do not do this! haha.. the twistable part of the knob just comes off as well as the circle trim piece below it, leaving other parts behind. Nothing broke, fortunately.
However I did re-confirm that you can push out the whole thing upwards...
That's what I thought - but in the video I didn't do anything underneath other than simply push up while also pulling up from the other side. No releasing clips or compressing prongs.
So a couple of thoughts about installing the drive select knob..
I think most people will instinctively pull the trim piece out completely, or at least most of the way, in order look under it and unplug the knob before popping it out. That isn't required as you can see in my video.
When...
I remembered to record something for once:
I haven't done the ForScan part yet and interestingly if I press the TM button twice it seems to go into 4H. So the feature works without ForScan, but you can't tell what mode you're in ?
I think you're describing a different bounciness. The stock shocks are more soft/smooth (they offered less resistance is how I would put it) than the Eibachs. They were too easy to compress and decompress, allowing the springs to keep bouncing the truck up and down after a bump or a dip in the...
Another update as I towed our travel trailer 2hrs away and back on the weekend and then drove 1.5hrs into Toronto and back today without the trailer.
Our first trip took us on the highway, driving between 110-120 km/h for most of the time. Our destination was the same area that I previously...
Are there setups where the AC is really only through the head unit? Is this why so many people doing the manual upgrade to Sync 3.4 mention losing the controls? I have both physical controls as well as on-screen controls. Maybe it's a Lariat thing? or a Canadian thing?
About the quality - a...
Really nice to have them all pointed out like that. When opening it up you only really need to pop 5 and 6 with a trim tool or whatever equivalent. Then you can pull up on that end of the trim piece and others will pop themselves, or you can run your hand down the gap to pop them if they're...
I installed the Eibach's yesterday and then picked up running boards about an hour away.
At first I was thinking they felt a little too firm as I drove around the block near my house, but on the 2 hour trip afterwards I found myself feeling very happy with them. Feels almost perfect to me now...
If installing a brake controller is a big deal then you could make do with a Curt Echo like I am. It's a tube-shaped device that fits into the 7-way. Works very well but with a couple of things to consider:
It calibrates each time a trailer is hooked up, so if you are hooking up in a steep...
