Well, much to my surprise, my dealer called and said my Ranger was delivered to the dealership one day earlier than Ford’s estimate! I am not able to pick it up until next week, but here are the pics he sent me.
My dealer up front told me about the items that were under a constraint and would probably cause a delay. But I think the issue gets compounded by what is a constraint item this week or month may not be next week or month, so you would to be constantly checking, get accurate info, and possibly...
Well, I did not do it 'to' it, but I did it 'for' it.
Ordered the deleted engine cover, since it is now discontinued. Hopefully I will not have to store it for an extended period of time since my Ranger was just released to shipping today.
I think i saw a dealer that added $20K to a Maverick. Almost double the price. I mean, I am for capitalism, but also for following the intent of the franchise distribution model. As @LuckyMonkey7 stated, Dealers are there own worst enemy, and add even more tarnish to the Ford brand.
They (Ford) seem to be so disjointed for data and communication. It's a good thing Ford is not in a business that requires being detailed oriented like assembling vehicles with option packages or anything like that.
That would be my guess as far as the email. Hoping it gets shipped today for you as well!
Interesting, I am getting emails, and I have a Ford account with that email, and it shows my Lightning Reservation, but not my Ranger Order.
