Goodness that is odd. I just had my carrier bearing, drive shaft boot kit, yoke assembly done. Same exact part number. KB3Z4W602A KIT - DRIVE SHAFT BOOT REPAIR KB3Z4784A YOKE ASY RS001 CARRIER BEARING REPLACEMENT All of which was covered under warranty.

I was thinking of the vents as well. Turned the music off, turned climate control off, opened/closed the windows.. and the noise was still there. I'll probably send an email to the shop and see if they recommend having the truck dropped off or not.

Update #1: I made an appointment with the dealership to take a look at the Ranger. I received a call from the service department advisor notifying me that the carrier bearing is shot and needs to be replaced. It's under warranty thankfully. The downside is that it has to be ordered nationally...
