Just ran into this this afternoon. Hopped in the truck put the key in and everything lit up like normal but I got the "see manual" message and no crank or start. Tried opening the door and restarting but no joy. Pull my phone out of the wireless charger since a few years ago I noticed that would...
Perfect, thank you! Will check it out this weekend. Now I wonder if I can put a shop vac down there and suck up anything that's made its way down there since the filter was changed....
I'm trying to orient myself to figure out where you've put that screen. I should do that. Do you have a pic from farther away that would show me where I can install that screen? That's a great idea!
This happened to me. The dealer changed the cabin filter and I had the same thing on both high and the second highest fan speeds. Took it back and they had to pull the box and clean it out. Seems leaves and other debris can get in there and sit on the filter. You pull it out and the debris falls...
I went here to get an OEM replacement:

Thought I'd be able to program it since I have two original keys. Alas, I could not. Tried the various procedures I saw online, talked to a friend at Folsom Lake Ford who confirmed the process and it didn't work. Had to...
This just happened again. I noticed my voltage was a bit higher than normal and then noticed the battery icon instead of the location icon in the sync window. I opened Fordpass and it said my truck was still at the location where I was yesterday. Pulled fuse 9 for a couple minutes...
Update, well, my parts friend told me that the process I was trying was the right one and that the only change would be to leave the new key in for 8 seconds. That didn't work. So, I talked to my cousin's business partner, he doesn't do cars anymore so he sent me to the guy they handed their...
I bought the truck new, ordered it in fact. So, in theory, the keys I have should be valid originals and both different but I have no way of checking. I do have a cousin who is a locksmith and I think his business partner can do these so I'm going to check with him next.
Reviving this as one of my original's seems to have a well worn unlock button that sometimes doesn't respond:

From that thread it was recommended to go here...
Yes, under the dash. They say keep it out for 5 minutes. I think I did that because I walked into the garage, pulled out my ohm meter, tested it, put the ohm meter back and then reinstalled the fuse.
To check, I then went into the menus to confirm it saw my WiFi and LTE
Glad it worked for someone else. I love the programming here that if the modem can't connect that it just goes crazy and keeps trying harder and harder. There is unlimited power right? Sigh, I thought applying backoff strategies was a known thing. I'll just crawl into my curmudgeon corner...
It's been super consistent since I put the lariat battery in and set my soc to 100. The only time it's not been is this last week when I notice higher voltages. But I now know that the icon is also different. So if I see the battery icon from my phone instead of the location icon I know the...
Similar temps. 40s in the morning warmer in afternoon. On Wednesday and Thursday, it was 14.6 to 14.7 all the way to work. Friday, started at 14.6, dropped to 14.3 half way. Wednesday and Thursday, 14.4 to 14.5 on the way home, now, under 14. So noticable drop for sure.

Wow thanks for all that! Happily, I only had to go to step 5 noting that, in the menu, there was an LTE signal and it was seeing my WiFi.
I'll also now confirm that charging voltage has 100% returned to normal values. More driving around on 50-60 degree days and it was down to 14.1 or so at...
Yea, I was at IBM for 7 years, dealt with BSD 4.3 on the RT and PS/2, AIX, OS/2 and Windows 3.1.
Fond memories of putting IBM Palo Alto on the internet, getting a whole /24 for IP's and making all my own cat 3 patch cables.
Dumping regedit output to text files, copying them to Unix...
Oh, one other thing, if you have the rudimentary sync setup and you notice a battery icon from your phone and not the location icon then your modem might be struggling. That was one other thing I noticed and after resetting the modem and driving it the next morning the normal location icon...
Midweek I noticed that my charging voltage was higher than normal. Slightly concerning since I have my SOC set to 100% in Forscan and I have a new Lariat battery that's about 4 months old and I thought "crap, I hope I'm not cooking it." I also noticed that Fordpass wasn't updating since around...
