Glad to hear, one of the forums I've been frequenting for over 20 years has topics pop up all the time of folks whos time has ended. Makes me realize I'm getting old, thankfully I now know all those rips off the bong back in the day have made me immortal.
I understand that Phil ( and I read that thread ), I love my FX4 Ranger, it's a great truck. I'd still pick one over the Toyota taco that everybody seems to love ( I have no idea why ). I've wheeled it in some pretty good spots in Nor-Cal, it's been on 3 wheels more than a handful of times. I...
I can understand your sentiment towards the stock skid plates, no they are not designed to pivot the truck around while perched on a big bolder but they will protect the pans of the engine/tranny and TC for at least one good hit if you got your line wrong that would have other wise wrote those...
My must haves were locker, skid plates and supercab. Since I was buying off the lot an FX4 was the only way to get what i wanted. I knew the shocks were shit ahead of time and negotiated the price paid based on that. After a couple of weeks of ownership I concluded that everybody was...

Snow day today, we've had a shitload of snow in Northern California here the last couple of weeks, looks like we get a break for at least 10 days starting after this morning so it was time to head up and take a look.
Betcha that seat is cold,
She's getting a new battery today, Hadn't drove it in a couple of months while I've been sorting out a new to me jeep, it was flat and showing a little over 5v. Tried a trickle charge to no avail ( I knew it wouldn't work anyway ).
Pic of the Jeep with the previous owner on the fender...
We heard a noise behind our fireplace insert a few weeks ago, pulled it out, sat the Pdoo in front of it and went to my moms house to visit for an hour. When we got home my little killer had her new buddy all curled up on the couch taking a nap with her. Good kitty.
