I think the extra 1/2" of droop is from the 5° shim I added to correct my pinon angle after installing the Tom Woods 1 piece drive shaft...shim was about 5/8" thick and went under the leafs, on top of the axle perch....

You are right...droop should not excede the shock stroke length...The ICON 2.5 Shocks have a longer stroke length than all the other made for Ranger 5G shocks.. Going to a longer (F150) shock with a re-valve job was a thought , but I wasn't sure how much further down the rabbit hole that was...

In my case the travel of the leafs are limited by shock stroke length and height of the bump stop ....when installing,to get the bottom bolt in, I had to jack.the axle.up about 1/2" to get the bolt thru with the shock at full extension..... ICON.2.5 Piggybacks. ICON Progressive Leaf pack, ICON...

My stock OEM ball joint ends appeared to be maxed out at full droop with the ICON 2,5" Ext travel coilovers....the extra range of motion of the APG's fixed that...now I think the stock sway bar still attached is my droop limiter....Beside the advantage of less binding, the up graded tie rods...

Extended Length? ...I have the APG stock length Billet Tie rod ends with the Heim joint end on my "mid runner"...APG has an extended length Billet Tie rod with the adjustable end for the " Pro-Runner:" long travel , allowing for more than 3,0" used in that kit..

If you are not building on a budget and "closest to a Raptor" is your criteria...... The APG , King ,and Deaver , Long travel , Performance Matched , front and rear system, is about as close you'll get with a bolt on made for 5G Rangers kit....$$$$... A good system for driving fast on bumpy...

I would like to amend my earlier post, I use the D mode on icy and snow packed roads....less abrupt acceleration and down shift , less chance for wheel spin/loss of traction

I use sport mode at all times below 55 mph. When I drive the really twisty roads the Ozarks are known for , I will use the gear selector button on the shifter for "manual style" up and down, engine braking and acceleration.....?.....I call it Sport Plus Mode....
