On post thought, I should also clarify; while the comparison I wrote above is accurate, relatively speaking, from an absolute perspective, they're both VERY drivable vehicles.
Unless one is delusional and expecting luxury car handling and manners, neither vehicle would even remotely disappoint...
Hopefully someone with exact experience will come along, but in case they don't.....
I drove a 2 door Bronco (2.3L, Auto) and also a Super Crew Lariat.
Bronco felt more 'truck'ish in the way it handled, tracked, etc. Was well mannered enough (especially compared to a Wrangler) but you felt...
If you insist on doing it yourself, before opening that tool, consider returning it and getting this one instead; it's a way safer approach to home wrenching spring compression:
Harbor Freight Spring Compressor
Ahh the memories. Smashed my thumb one time using my set of spring compressors....
Smear a light coat of grease on the threads of the all thread rods. You do NOT want those binding up as you turn the rod. Do NOT get that grease on the spring seats. (bad juju if you do)
Do NOT turn one rod...
Fair enough.
Ok, let me ponder things. The no ship limitation complicates things a bunch for me. (I'd burn over $100 in fuel just coming to get the thing from you)
Just curious if yours come with the off-road cutoff tip part? (Not sure how much something like that gets used in the real world but stage 3’s video mentioned so figured I’d ask)
Holy. Crap.
This is QUITE the difference in timing compared to my long wait on the Bronco reservation.
Hopefully it doesn’t get bumped back a bunch like some of the other members here have been throughout 2021.
Super Excited!
Dealers are literally destroying the legacy of the Bronco relaunch with this ADM crap.
It's why I've lost most of my enthusiasm for my 2dr Big Bend reservation, and have come over to this side with a new Ranger Tremor on order.
I'm on the opposite end in the Northeast corner.
Not saying it's out of the question that I'd never travel that far, but it'd have to be a pretty well planned event for me given the distance.
Oh, I'm not letting it go. I like to have.... 'options'. ?
But, even as a simple 2DR 2.3 w/ 7spd Big Bend with only tow package, I'm deep enough in the Chapman line that it will likely be a LOOOOONG time before I get pulled for scheduling. ?
The hard tri fold. I want that extra security as some times I store some pretty high dollar sporting equipment in my truck while traveling to the destination.
