Mine wasn't either so my son pulled it off and put it back on much straighter and removed as many bubbles as he could. He wanted to take it off and just toss it but I said there were some people online who weren't happy that their truck didn't come with one:).
My son drove my truck home from the ladies golf tournament today and loved it. He asked me about sport mode and I said it held shifts longer and downshifted earlier. He then said that his friend has an Accord with sport mode and paddle shifters and he shifts it all the time. So he put it in...
Two more today. This morning at coffee, a guy in the parking lot comes over to talk to my friends and me about it. He was super interested and kept chatting until we decided we wanted to go in and get coffee. This afternoon my son and I stopped at Baskin Robbins to get a milk shake and this...
I got an XL too but I added a decent number of options to my Lightning Blue XL 4x2. 101A, STX, towing package, locker, carpet/floor mats, floor liners, running boards, mud flaps, block heater, sliding rear window, keyless key pad, spray in bedliner, hard tonneau cover.
I looked at an...
Driving to work a guy pulled up to me in a Kia crossover type vehicle. He rolled his window down so I did too thinking "crap, what did I leave on the truck". He said "hey, how do you like it?" I smiled and told him I liked it a lot. He asked about the MPG which I don't really know yet 'cause...
I see it on my XL STX but it looks intentional. If you look at the edges where it starts, you can see the plastic moving away. There also appear to be slats that look like they are holding it out there. Note that I have the all black mirrors, don't know if the different mirrors (the chrome...
Yea, I looked at the fact that the dealer forgot to have us sign a form as a good reason to drive it. My wife was just miffed that we had to go back:-).
Yea I know I can do it myself and I do have a heat gun (with a bazillion settings) but since the dealer offered to have the body shop do it to make sure their techs didn't damage the paint, I"m going to let them do it. They will likely have it for the day anyway so I'm gathering items for them...
I'm a HUGE fan of max caster. I had a '65 Mustang with manual steering and I did the Shelby upper control arm mod. That car would wander on streets with ruts or grooves. I had to convince the alignment shop here (Shelby guys) that I'd be OK with max caster because it makes steering a bit...
My truck came with the Bridgestone Duelers on it which are the same tires my wife's Pilot has ironically and we don't see that with the Pilot. Since the mounts for the tonneau cover were damaged in shipment, it does need to go back. Oh, and the body shop was too busy to take off the STX...
Yea, I thought about that too and did check. Mine says 35 PSI and they were 40. I dropped them to about 36. Given the fact that I've traditionally run my tires higher in all my cars but in both my '96 Tacoma and '08 Canyon w/o such effects I didn't think it would matter. This morning I was...
My wife and I had to run back to the dealer 'cause they forgot to have us sign one of the papers. On the way there, we drove on a highway with the grooves in the cement and the truck wandered. Actually, it kind of shimmied back and forth. I have a feeling that the alignment needs more caster...
Yep, got to pick it up this afternoon, The guys at Sunnyvale Ford were great. Walked in, they handed me the keys to drive it around. Came back, all the paper work was ready, we talked to the Finance guy who did all the paper work, we signed it, wrote him a check and were ready to roll. My...
Got a call from the dealer, the mounting brackets for the tonneau cover were "damaged in shipment" so they can't install it today. I told him I still want to pay for it and pick it up today so I'll be doing that and then taking it back to have them install it at some point.

Yep agree. Even my 2008 GMC Canyon back seat folds flat and is of 60/40 design. This is one of the few things (maybe the only thing?) my current truck does better than my soon to arrive Ranger.
