The real problem isn't any additional braking used, but the fact that the caliper is not being pulled over to clamp the rotor evenly. Apply all the additional braking you want, but the pads should have even wear, inboard vs outboard.
I'm really liking these due to their slim package. I don't like the look of running boards, buy my wife struggles getting in and out of my truck, in stock form. So... Now I am looking at putting some in and these are top on my list, at the moment.
This... My 2001 Cummins (quad cab w/ 8ft bed) wasn't much bigger than my Ranger, which was mostly just length, and I thought that was a pain to drive around, daily. I am actually looking at picking up another car just for around town... Something small and fun.
That said, my daughter will be...
Ultimately, pressure needs to be logged through various loads. There is almost always going to be some pulsation in the crankcase. That said, if there is any exceptional pressure, this filter setup is not how I would 'solve' it.
Honestly, much of that oil coming out could just be the cams slinging it around up in that area.
If nobody has put a pressure sensor on the crankcase, there's not much point in trying to argue an 'pressure' points and it's all anecdotal.
It is true, high pressure in the crankcase will soak up some power, however, venting it via the atmosphere is more of an 'old school' (lazy, in my opinion) way of doing it. Ideally, you want to pull a vacuum on the crankcase. A 'good' CCV/PCV setup should do this to some extent, which is why I...
Just had this today with under 150 miles. It was intermittent and had to film to catch it. I just slammed the door when I got home and will see if it comes back.
If you actually think an HID in a reflector housing is not a problem, you're hurting your argument on your LED discussion. HID bulbs in a reflector housing will scatter light like it's its job. Go back 10-15 years ago and all those crappy Hondas that were blinding you... They put in HID bulbs...
I have a picture somewhere with my Jeep Grand Cherokee and Morimoto 2 Stroke LED drop-ins. I'll have to search the server as I don't have it hosted anymore (or I could take more pictures). They have a fantastic cut-off and the only time I get flashed is when I'm towing and my headlights point...
Sure they are. Some are better than others, but most have the LED's placed where the filament would be. The Morimoto bulbs I've used in many housings have always had a great cut-off.
