  1. 2022 transmission needs "overhaul" - just left the dealer.

You need a better Dealer. They are not all created equal. Just contracted with Ford for Service Repair. You could go to a Chop Shop Join That is Certified and get treated like a king. Or a dealer spot where they fleece the shit out of you because their Logo in on the Sign. In any case, good...
  2. JB4 Tune (Burger Motorsports)

Thank you. i am going to back it down to Map 3 until I get more Logging and have my guys at the Ricer shop take a look at it as well. If you all want to take a look at the numbers and tell me how Dumb I am. That will get me to stop Playing around so much. Or, That I am on to something. Not a...
  3. JB4 Tune (Burger Motorsports)

Yeah, That is good results on the F150. I am worry about the tune more than the motor. I know from research, that a stable 2.3l EB can run all day at 400HP. With the right parts. Plus, the JB4 retains factory safety protocols. Terrys Dyno passes stated 93 octane up to Map 5. Map 5 is map 4...
  4. JB4 Tune (Burger Motorsports)

I figure something bad. I am running Map 3 on about E20 in this current tank. Also, Map 4 on Sport mode. It has been flawless operation, and pulls like a mule on hot embers. Temps look good too. I am not racing around long though. The Max boost is around 20-21 PSI. I am in Map 4 just long enough...
  5. Best Cold Air Intake (Are they worth it?)

Better late than never! You're looking at 5-6HP Maybe on a CAI. It might even be half that if you already have a High Flow Filter like AEM or KN. Unless you got all the other stuff first. It will not be much. I witnessed a +12 Mishimoto CAI HP gain. However, that was after a max tune, Turbo Back...
  6. Onboard modem

This is about what I would expect. a CPU and Wi-Fi antenna port, plus the Wiring harness plug. Bet the "SIM" for lack of a better term is embedded in the board. I doubt your will ever be able to switch carriers with that module. I assume the only solution is to go full third party, but patch...
  7. JB4 Tune (Burger Motorsports)

As this being old I wonder if there was an explanation to be had. The Map options states Maps 3-4-5 are for E30 but this chart is all 93 Octane. What is the risk of running map 4-5 on straight 93? Knock or something worse?
  8. E 15 gas

Ah yes, the you're ok 2001 or newer so we will let you read this Big orange warning. Just don't use the E15 marketing gimmick that is 88 octane. you paid 40k-80 for your ride and want to skimp on the fuel. You will pay for it later.
  9. E 15 gas

The crappy E15 is 88octane and most cars are rated for it. What you want is .7gal of E85 and 93 octane with 10% Ethanol. Or 93 if they go with 15%. That is actually a good boost close to 94 octane.
  10. Injectors

You either get there with solid fundamentals or your run that risk.
  11. Injectors

I have read a few times on some tunning pages that the 2.3l EB turbo can run around 420HP reliably. So he is getting close. I also hunt for the 400 HP mark. I am over building much of the other components so It is has the best chance of staying reliable.
  12. What would be needed for flex Fuel conversion

YEP MPG is ass on 85. You only buy it for the power. I have a JB4 and can get up to 30%mix. It is a demon but even then the MPG dropped minimum 2 points
  13. Have you seen E30 in your area? ⛽

I have a JB4 running E30 on my 2022 For Ranger. It is a beast. Don't go any higher unless you have the parts to run it. But E30 work if you Have a JB4 or Ecu tune for it.
  14. Intake air temps

Rangers from the mid 90's and Beyond have CAI from the factory. Dumping a aftermarket with a open design will just suck the air from the engine Bay. No go. you need a another intake point out side of the Truck or Just use a High flow Filter. Most CAI do not do what people think they do and can...
  15. Air box mod

The Ranger maybe tuned for 87 but It is more fun at 93 TBH. Us Americans are in love with $2-3 Gas but Turbos love octane. It is the reason you can put 50 WHP on 2.3L with a Conservative Ford Tune. Just the fuel alone will give you the HP and Torque. AEM Dry Flow tests well for a high flow AM...
  16. Spark plug change at 43000 miles

The 2.3L Eco has to be down tuned heavy to pass on 87 Octane with a Turbo. They do it bc we Americans are cheap. No respectable Germany bimmer will runs under 91. Plus, you get better MPG and like 10+ HP with a ecoboost. Pay now or pay later. 87 on Turbos should get nuked as a acceptable idea.
  17. Air Intake

I ran 160K miles on my 99 Ranger with a K&N drop in. It ran fine for 20 years on the same filter. The research I did later suggests that was not the best Idea given they let incredibly high amounts of particles through VS OEM paper filters. However, we are talking a 3.0l Vulcan motor which will...
  18. Fender air box feed

I like it. To bad you have to Chop up the truck to find a solution.
  19. Fender air box feed

Chop the underside of the Hood away to create a Gap then seal it up. That is what I see to do. I also taped the dumb holes above the inlet that bleed air into the hood. I'm also thinking of Cutting away the stupid reverse scoop on the RAD cover That feeds the gap. the 2022 range has 2 plastic...
  20. Air Intake

3 Years late reading this and totally agree. I can only do the Cat Back now, but maybe I'll get a little bite with the growl. The 2.5" is way to small for a Turbo pushing 18 psi. I got the JB4 first and really it is the reason for the full exhaust. Best fit I could find is a 3" Catted Downpipe...
