Pretty simple, what sub-$100 mod, that you’ve done to your ranger, has made the biggest difference to your truck, or, have you got the most enjoyment from?
It’s a hard question if you’ve done a few.
Mine would have to be the black front & rear Ford badges. Made a bigger than expected...
Mine seems to be heaps better now, thanks mate. I actually came back to my office Thursday night, after an 18 hr day, to find it had rained, and it was beading like normal, and all but dry after I drove home.
The wheels need to be done again, because I didn’t shake then either, but that and...
Yay, some of the Wildtrak (Boulder) Grey parts arrived from Thailand. Always a bit hit and miss with stuff like this, but this time quality is good, to very good.
Fit is great on the fender vents and passable on the handles.
Paint finish is good, colour match is bang on against my factory...
I've thought this. If you were to get the front bar, front guards, that should do the front end.
Rear tray/lights (wiring is different I believe, also) and that should do the back end.
You would only have the suspension differences, which I'm not sure about compatibility, but assuming you...
I cant disagree with either of you, looking at it this morning, the black grill looks sick. Add some black mirrors and change the sports bar to black and it would be awesome. But…
Then it just looks like one of these. Without the leather.
What I haven’t mentioned, is the truck is already...
Im just over the normal back on white look. It’s been done to death and I want something different looking to our FX4. Not trying to look like a wildtrak either, just like the way the colour looks on a white truck.
Got the Wildtrak mirrors fitted and fitted the grill in its factory gloss black. Now I don’t know what to do. I was sold on painting it the same grey as the mirrors, (incoming) fender vents and door handles. But on the truck, the black doesn’t look as out of place as I thought it would. I’ll...
Out with the old..
In with the new.
Much less chrome
Todays first task done by 6am. Lets see if I get a chance to change the mirrors today also. Then maybe trial fit the grill to see how it looks in black, before I settle on the same grey as everything else.
Woah, doesn't time fly. This stupid truck has gone from "Maybe I should just stick some rims on it, to a little out of control. For a work truck.
Anyway, figuring that I couldn't paint the chrome grill, I decided to look for one painted black, and low and behold...
A factory FX4 grill pops...
